  1. You claim to be such a college football expert but seem utterly ignorant of the reality that early season polls always fluctuate significantly. Maybe USC will slip a spot or two for the final score being close against Colorado even though the majority of the game wasn't competitive. Maybe they would've bumped up a spot or two of they had held onto a blowout margin. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter. A sport or two difference in an early October poll is irrelevant.
  2. He won't last long. He never does. He's been banned multiple times already. He'll make an egregious personal attack soon and get bounced again. He never learns.
  3. Yeah, early season polls are crucial. The pollsters are still trying to figure out where everyone stacks up. Everyone knows a Lincoln Riley team is going to be all offense and no defense. They always have been. What is new about this?
  4. What is the typical spread for a Riley coached team? It's probably huge. The spread is Vegas trying to get equal money on both sides of the ledger. The whole point is for you to go .500 against the spread. That's just odds makers doing their job really well. This isn't difficult stuff to understand, man. You're trying to act like the smartest guy in the room but coming off as anything but that in your attempts.
  5. Well, let's see... the Panthers are playing and Howell is facing the Eagles pass rush behind that Washington OL. Yeah, I'm not gonna put a whole lot of effort into meal planning this one.
  6. The only people who care about the spread are gamblers. To everyone else it's all Ws and Ls.
  7. I think we correctly identified that we were going to be too low at #9 to land one of the top QB prospects. But I do think that we fooled ourselves into that giant trade up because we thought we had a much better core roster than we actually did have and that we could piece together the remainder with mid-level FAs and we could absorb the hit of losing all those premium draft picks. That evaluation is looking not so good at them moment.
  8. KB is still such a huge "what if" story for me if he hadn't lost his mom and blew out his knee. Maybe he could've overcame one or the other but it just seemed like the combo of the two was too much. By all accounts he was the best player on the field that training camp he blew out his knee and second place wasn't even close. I'll never forget that grab he made in perfect double coverage between the two best DBs in the game.
  9. Look at his drafts. He can't keep fuging up drafts if he trades all the picks.
  10. These guys truly did think they had built a much better team than what we've shown to be on the field so far. I just wonder when does the infighting and blame casting begin...
  11. When you look through our draft history it certainly isn't difficult to realize why we're a franchise with an overall losing record.
  12. My concern is that he looks just like TMJ. I just think this organization really sucks at evaluating the WR position and always has. In the last 9 drafts we've taken 6 WRs in either the 1st or 2nd round. Other than DJ Moore we've simply made terrible choices.
  13. Oh thank goodness. Whoever that guy is has come in to set the record straight so we can all rest our pretty little heads now.
  14. This. If there's anything that the remaining Panthers fanbase has to be proficient in it's coping.
  15. Worse than current? Because it's something along the lines of D-Day currently.
  16. I would send Burns. The Bears reportedly wanted DJ, Brown, or Burns. I would've tried to make it Burns and reduce the draft pick capital I sent.
  17. Yep. Meanwhile, look at our franchise history at WR. It has been a constant struggle for us. Once you get past Smitty, Moose, and DJ who would you even put as our #4 WR in franchise history. It just gets sad after those three. Purely by the numbers Mark Carrier would be our #4 WR with 2547 yards. That's right. The 4th leading WR in franchise history produced barely over 2500 receiving yards for us. Meanwhile you have Fitts acting like he can find WRs on the couch while the two guys he spent 2nd round picks on look like guys who will be on the couch soon.
  18. It's almost like including your only proven WR in the trade package to move up to get your QB was a bad idea.
  19. Nah, the only types of games we win in recent years are the ones that tank our draft position after we're already out of contention. With no 1st round pick next year we feel destined to go 0-17 and hand the #1 overall pick to the Bears.
  20. ND has never been playoff caliber. Every time they've ever made the playoffs they've gotten absolutely wrecked. But that's never mattered. Every opportunity the committee has ever had they've put them in anyway.
  21. ND just isn't that good and their ranking is all about the golden helmets. They should be well accustomed to that reality by this point.
  22. Oh man, Duke's QB got hurt after the ND TD? I turned it off when ND scored. I fuging hate duke but that fuging sucks if that's what happened. I don't allow my hate for programs bleed over into hating individual kids. Except for Gerald Henderson. Fug that guy.
  23. This is why I didn't watch the duke/ND game. I lose either way. One, fug duke. Two, fug ND. They absolutely need to institute a rule that if you don't play on a P5 conference championship game that you're ineligible for the playoffs.
  24. The dude has been a helluva college QB, I just don't think he has the physical talent to translate. His best case scenario is carving out a career as a backup but is he really more talented than Will Grier? I don't think so and Grier is struggling mightily to hang onto an NFL career.
  25. I turn on the game just in time to watch Duke blow it.
