  1. This. His accuracy wasn't as good as I expected and the two INTs were both late throws across the middle with a lurking safety. That's always a danger ball and one you better not throw unless you have a cannon of an arm and pinpoint accuracy. Bryce's arm has always looked NFL average at best to my eyes. His mobility and slipperiness was basically what I expected. He's not Michael Vick by any stretch of the imagination but he can buy some time and run a little bit when he has to. I'd be lying if I said I was completely convinced that his mind can make up for what the body lacks.
  2. I honestly didn't see much to get excited about but didn't see anything to panic about either. We'll see how he develops.
  3. I don't have second teams but I do have other players that I follow, Sam Howell being the the chief one.
  4. Cope. How is it a total rebuild? We've blown a lot of our roster building capital. We aren't in great cap space and we traded a lot of draft assets. What are we to build with?
  5. I think that QB was told to airmail that ball. That so bad and the way he smiled afterwards I honestly think he was told to do that.
  6. Giants are still fumbling like crazy but at least they're recovering them now.
  7. Collinsworth is defending this idiocy, meanwhile Jones is just getting fuging OBLITERATED every snap.
  8. When the toughness mentality gets taken to the level of idiocy.
  9. Oh good grief. Anyone pining for The Red Rifle can't be taken seriously.
  10. Gotta give it up to them for that. Respect. I've watched my teams lay some eggs and always stayed to the end but I don't think I've ever had to endure this level of egg laying and certainly not in a monsoon.
  11. I'd rather root for a team that loses every game than root for a team employing Sean Payton.
  12. I was flabbergasted when they gave him that contract. The guy puts up stats that would've been decent in the '80s but in the 2020s? He a replacement level QB. Definitely not a guy you give $40M/year.
  13. The Cowboys have barely over 250 yards but have racked up 40 points. That's crazy.
  14. 40-0 FORTY TO ZERO In a game where the spread was Cowboys -3.5.
  15. I can't believe there are actually people outraged we didn't hire Sean Payton. There are few things that would make me drop the Panthers like a bad habit but hiring that piece of dog excrement is on that list.
  16. I was wildly wrong about Parsons. Didn't want another off the ball LB high in the 1st. Never dreamed a guy with 6.5 sacks in college would evolve into one of the NFL's premier pass rushers in the NFL.
  17. There's no defending cutting Cam to pay Teddy Bridgewater like a legit starter. It's not cutting Cam in a vacuum. It's cutting Cam AND paying Teddy Bridgewater acting like we've upgraded at QB and found our future.
  18. Fitts made his decision to rely on signing an oft-injured vet, an over the hill vet, and a motley crew of unheralded, unproven youngsters. He traded his only proven WR to get his QB. I'm of the firm opinion of not letting Scott Fitterer mortgage anymore of our future on this current roster. If there's someone we can sign? Fine. Someone requiring us to trade significant assets for and then pay huge money? Nah, man. I don't have near enough confidence that you're the right guy for the future to let you do that.
  19. Gonna be interesting to see how the Giants bounce back from this humiliating drubbing by their biggest rival on national television in week one with hopes high. This is a potential season derailer.
  20. I don't think he lost his zip as much as his accuracy after the surgery. He just didn't seem like he could control the location of the ball well at all afterwards. He could still chunk it, they were just sprayed. It was just a different league back then. Jake was tied for 11th in the league with 15 INTs in '04 when he was 7th in yardage and 4th in TDs. 15 INTs led the league last year and he would've been 19th in yardage.
  21. They're blaming that "drop" on Hyatt but that ball was thrown well behind him and he had to do some acrobatics to even get hands on it. The boo birds are OUT. Man, sucks for these Giants fans. What a punch in the gut this has been for a fanbase that expected to be making a lot different noise tonight.
  22. No. I couldn't be and remain sane. We've been terrible for years now. Yeah, I still watch but I'm way less emotionally attached. It has zero impact on the rest of my day when we lose now.
  23. This is just inaccurate. People want to act like Smitty made Jake but they conveniently ignore that Jakes best statistical season came when Smitty was on IR with a broken arm. Jake threw for nearly 4000 yards and 29 TDs and Smitty accounted for 6 of those yards and 0 TDs. He was 7th in the NFL in passing yards and 4th in passing TDs with no Smitty and Keary Colbert as his second leading receiver. Jake was a good QB and then fell off a cliff when the Tommy John surgery was a failure.
  24. I always wonder how the QBs from those elite handful of teams will handle things when their team isn't head and shoulders better than the competition nearly every week. I know Bama was typical Bama Bryce's final season but at Bama that means having a top 10 roster instead of the typical top 3 roster. You're still only playing a coupe of games where you're not the superiorly talented team on the field.
