  1. Ron Rivera aided by Marty Hurney and Daniel Snyder's football team screwing up a football decision? Hell, now that Matt Rhule is out of the league I can't think of a more slam dunk leader in the clubhouse for sheer idiocy to happen.
  2. Did I say that? You're just trying to compare apples and oranges and when people point that out then you try to attribute an argument to them that they haven't actually made. In what universe are the Jets a "winning situation"? If you want to see him in a good situation, we're at least as appealing as the Jets.
  3. The Bengals and Ravens were ranked 7th and 11th in total defense, respectively. The Raiders were ranked 28th. The Raiders have been near the bottom of the league in defensive rankings for most if not all of Carr's career.
  4. No matter what we do, we'll have a loud contingent proclaiming the genius of the move and celebrating our soon to come dynasty and we'll have another loud contingent decrying it as the worst move in franchise history and talking about going all in for Maye or Williams next year after this whole experiment crashes and burns. That's the one thing I'm absolutely certain about.
  5. Stafford was 0-3 in the playoffs before going to the Rams. He still has a losing record as as QB by a significant margin.
  6. Don't do this to this kid. If we draft him just let him be Anthony Richardson. Honestly, my biggest reservation about drafting him is that the Cam comparisons and expectations would be heaped on him immediately due to the physical similarities.
  7. Another interesting note with the hiring of Wilson is that he'd be a pretty good player comp for Jeremy Chinn.
  8. This isn't a forced situation. It isn't about what Carr wants. If you can't get him for anything less than an all in deal you walk away.
  9. I am anxious to see how the plan on using Chinn. This two deep coverage scheme talk makes me nervous. If we want to run a two deep shell then Chinn either needs to be playing LB or traded.
  10. Because I'm not paying Carr $35M per year. If that's his market value I'm not signing him.
  11. Sam Howell is gonna salvage that guy if Bieniemy isn't a trainwreck.
  12. If I'm the Panthers and I'm going to be completely honest with Carr and tell him that if the right guy is there at #9 we're still drafting him. Sure, the plan is to commit to him and we don't plan on the right guy being there at #9 but wild things happen and we can't tell you that there's zero chance we're not drafting a QB at #9. So know this before putting ink to paper so there's no hard feelings in a couple months.
  13. I do think we need to go FS in FA. I'm not big on this year's FS draft class. Seems like there's a lot more SS types in this class.
  14. I've said it multiple times. I'd prefer draft, but I won't holler if it's Carr. I think much of this fanbase has PTSD from watching us aquire 3rd tier vet QBs and them predictably failing. We've tried for better vet QBs but they didn't want to play for Rhule. Carr is a better vet QB.
  15. Who could possibly argue against such a well constructed and supported position? LOL!
  16. Joe Lunardi and ESPN gotta be mad as hell. Douchebags. Suck my dick deep so you can lick my ass too. ESPN is significantly past it's best by date. Die already.
  17. Don't count this W yet. We have never been good at stall ball in my lifetime and we've been trying to play stall ball for 10+ minutes now with predictable results.
  18. Are these boys really getting red hot at just the right time again?
  19. Alright, forget the mentorship part. There would be real value in having a viable vet option so that we aren't forced to play AR before he was ready.
  20. When you make a definitive statement it only takes one outlier to prove you wrong. Josh Allen's college tape makes Anthony Richardson look like Peyton Manning in comparison.
  21. If we draft say Anthony Richardson the value of Brissett would be twofold. One, he'd be a decent vet option so that AR wouldn't be forced to play before he's ready. Two, he'd be a vet QB who has played under Frank Reich who can help mentor AR into the NFL.
  22. Usually if an NFL QB has time to survey the field he's gonna absolutely carve a D up. It's the opposite with Darnold. When he's standing in a clean pocket and has time to survey the field it's probably not gonna be good. I would honestly just blitz Darnold enough to keep the opposing OC respecting the possibility. My primary goal would be to play contain and coverage because I know Darnold is gonna throw some balls in those scenarios that give my guys a great opportunity for the INT.
