  1. Draft RBs or sign mid-level FAs. Let other teams pay the big money RBs. We have an embarrassment of riches at RB and off the ball LBs in our franchise history but spending too many premium resources on non-premium positions has been a significant contributor to our overall losing record.
  2. You keep leaving yourself a LOT of wiggle room. The list of QBs between guys who have started more than one game and guys who are multiple time MVP winners is extremely long. So you don't think he'll be a star. Cool. "Not a star" isn't the same thing as "bust".
  3. Bieniemy feels like Rivera's version of Ben McAdoo. A head coach feeling significant pressure to bring in a "rock star" to jumpstart the offense. I feel for my boy Sam Howell. I think it's gonna be a poo show in Washington. Shine through the shade, man. It's all you can do.
  4. I wouldn't say I "hate" him. But he's very similar to Darnold in that he has all the physical traits you'd want on a QB but then you watch him play and you just don't see an actual QB. He has a lot of the same issues as Darnold. Locks onto his first read. Slow through his progressions. Turnover prone. I just don't see the mental makeup of a QB. I see a physical specimen without the necessary mental makeup. Then you realize that Darnold is only two years older than Will Levis. Levis should not still be as raw as he is as a prospect.
  5. Not a lifelong starter and only making as a backup if at all are two different things. Seems like you're leaning heavily toward the latter so just make that the definition. Out of the league in how many years? I mean, a guy like Joe Flacco is a bust by your first standard.
  6. I'd love a Minshew type vet bridge and Richardson at #9 if he interviews well. I've been super intrigued by Richardson for awhile now. Ever since I watched a few UF games and saw a much better QB than I expected and balls bouncing off receivers' hands. The stats lie if you watch the games.
  7. I honestly don't expect any big splash signings. If there is one I would expect it to be a WR or TE.
  8. I turned it off at half. Tuned back in with about 12 minutes to go. Hideous win but I'll take it. UVA and duke coming up. Let's see if they catch fire again. I'd say they'd be hard pressed to shoot worse than they did tonight but I'd be lying.
  9. 19 points at half. Only 10 points from the field. Shooting 18% from the field. 0% from three. 0 assists. 8 turnovers. Will Hubert get fired after going to the national championship game last year? I don't think so, but I think his seat will be HOT next year.
  10. 16%. We are shooting SIXTEEN PERCENT from the field. I honestly don't know how much more of this I can watch.
  11. I think I could shoot a higher percentage than these two teams just trying to swat the ball toward the basket with my dick. This is just pathetic.
  12. This has been the worst six minutes of basketball in the history of basketball. Jesus.
  13. UNC has been signing recruits billed as good shooters for several years now and then they get to Chapel Hill and become remarkably inconsistent. Who is fuging with these kids' shots when they get to campus? Fuging stop. It ain't working.
  14. There hasn't been a winter in NC this year. Honestly only a handful of actual cold days. I do miss Colorado winters. I love snow. I used to snowboard 50+ days a year. Haven't been once I'm the last two seasons.
  15. I'd expect DL, WR, or TE if we did something like sign Carr. Maybe FS if there's one justified taking top 10. Possibly CB depending on how we view Jackson's recovery. I just don't see OT at all. Not with a top 10 pick and other glaring needs. For maybe the first time ever OT is actually one of the Panthers'strongest group of starters. You're not drafting for depth in the top 10.
  16. For the first time maybe in franchise history starting OT is actually clearly NOT a need. I'd be shocked if we took an OT.
  17. Levis is scarily similar to Darnold IMO. At least with Darnold's draft evaluation you had youth and relative inexperience to lean on to justify taking him high.
  18. Zero chance. There would probably be at least five teams trip over themselves to offer that for him right now. Bidding would quickly exceed that.
  19. Won't get any of those three or Hurts or Herbert or Lawrence. Basically any of the guys you'd actually be thrilled to be building around.
  20. But that wouldn't be nearly enough to get one of those 4 or 5 proven commodities.
  21. Now do Matt Stafford in Detroit.
  22. Yeah, that's considerably lighter than Brown has played probably since high school. That's my point.
  23. I'm not opposed to it if we're completely sold on someone but it's an all in move. It would be the end of Fitts if it didn't work out and it might lead to Reich going out like he did with the Colts - decent coaching but ultimately failing to get over the hump.
