Running directly into a wall of humanity is an interesting philosophy for a kick returner.

What a poo show of a play that was and it ends in a TD

There should be a stipulation that if you don't qualify for a conference championship game then by rule you can't qualify for the playoffs.
-
Yep. The truly elite teams at the college level can beat the good teams with their backups nine times out of ten. There's just a huge overall talent gap.

I thought Deion might stop trying to larp as a cowboy after spending a little time in Boulder and realizing that isn't the University of Colorado vibe AT ALL.
-
Nebraska seems to have a real issue on offense. Without Sims, they don't look to have any running game. But with Sims, they don't look to have any passing game.
-
LOLOLOLOL If you're gonna play this QB, you need to be running 80% of the time. He's a triple option QB through and through.
-
How in the hell are they going back to review a play before the last play? Nebraska might get rewarded for fuging up and false starting.

There are no roots left. The ACC was a basketball conference. They expanded for football. But then Miami and VT fell off a cliff so it didn't become the football powerhouse they planned. Now they're just in a desperate fight for survival.

Attempting a 54 yard FG in a defensive struggle doesn't seem like a smart gamble. Minnesota just handed Nebraska great field position.

Rhule's teams have always been about good defense and just enough offense to win. Why he was considered such a hot NFL candidate given today's offense driven game I just don't understand. Hell, I didn't understand it at the time. Lots of posters got pissed at me for pointing out that Rhule's style wasn't fundamentally much of a departure from Fox and Rivera.

He's a Georgia Tech transfer. He's a triple option guy. Which is interesting because back in Nebraska's powerhouse days they were a triple option team.
-
Well, nevermind. Evidently Spectrum and Disney are having a pissing contest so no ESPN at the moment. Nebraska/Minnesota it is.
-
Florida/Utah should be a pretty good game. I'll start out with that one.

Zappe looked competent starting actual regular season games. Looked like a decent backup. I was pretty surprised he got cut. I wouldn't be opposed to picking him up ourselves.
-
If you claim a player off of waivers he has to go on your active squad. A player has to clear the waiver wire before he can go to a practice squad.

Colts GM Chris Ballard's agent has to be working overtime right now getting the word out that this Taylor situation is entirely the doing of Irsay on a bender.
-
Not gonna lie, if I was a coach or GM I'd constantly be trying to temper expectations. Not a lot of guys have been fired for exceeding expectations.
-
I loved how he played down the stretch last year but that was in a run heavy scheme that really fit Ickey's strengths. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned watching edge rushers blowing by Ickey with alarming regularity this preseason.
-
In the types of spread schemes that are commonplace in the NFL these days it's a lot harder to hide a weak link in your OL. You need five guys who can all hold their own if you want to have five receiving options available.
-
I hope so. I'm not certain about him at LT in our new scheme but I ultimately think he'll be a key cog in our OL wheel even if it's not at LT.
-
This. I don't care where you went to school. Well, if you went to UNC that's an added bonus but other than that if you can play you can play and I want you. I thought Ickey was the safest OL in the draft because of potential positional versatility. I thought that if he didn't work out at LT worst case scenario he'd end up being a very good OG. Not exactly what you want out of a top 10 pick but a helluva lot better than an outright bust.
