Great catch by Metcalf on an abysmal throw.
-
The Seahawks' offense is trash but their DL is nasty.
-
For real though, the Bears just seem snake bit as fug at QB. I mean, Jay Cutler is probably their franchise GOAT.
-
A lot of them are on Caleb though. This Bears OL isn't good and when you pair that with a QB who loves to hold the ball and try to scramble around to buy time well, this is what you get.

All the concerns I had about Caleb Williams' playing style are showing up. Holds the ball too long, too quick to bail on the pocket and try to create a scramble drill, too focused on the hero play. I wasn't sold on him as an NFL prospect because you had to view him as a complete rebuild project. You're drafting the raw talent and now you have to re-teach him how to play QB as an NFL QB because this isn't college anymore. Everyone wanted to compare him to Mahomes but the difference is that Mahomes can make all the easy routine plays look easy and routine and only breaks out the highlight reel stuff when necessary. Caleb wants to skip all the easy and routine stuff and just go straight to highlight reel stuff every snap and that can't work in the NFL.

It's a good way to end up on the wrong side of one.

The hurdle stuff is getting dumb. I get it when you're in the open field with one guy to beat and it's 3rd down. But trying to hurdle guys in a crowd where you might get an extra yard or two on an early down? C'mon, gotta be smarter than that. High risk, low reward

And neither will the 13th best OG which is my point. You're throwing darts at the board hoping to get a hit on the late rounds.
-
Not like upgrading our backup RB spot is going to make a dramatic difference. We need better talent, period. Definitely don't overlook the better talent because it happens to play by far the most valuable roster spot. Quite the opposite.
-
I'd be looking at mid to late round QBs every single draft simply because the potential ROI is so high. Hell, even if I have an entrenched starter and backup that wouldn't change the equation. Hit on one and I'd trade my entrenched backup to a desperate team and now I have a quality backup in a rookie contract to protect cap space and a potential asset to trade down the road or hell even develop into a starter if my starter is aging or has a career detailing injury or maybe the young guy simply proves to be better at some point. Once you get the the 4th or 5th round you're basically throwing darts at the board hoping to hit on something at that point. Most of those guys will prove to not be long for the league anyway. I'm not saying reach on a guy just because he's a QB but if I have similarly rated prospects on the board and we're talking about a FB, a blocking TE, and a OG with limited upside, well that's a no brainer to me. Roll the dice on the QB.

I like Ward. I don't like the rest of the class. If we want to take a crack at a mid to late round guy I might be inclined to go with the GT kid. I don't know if he's an NFL QB but he's got that dog in him.

Wild how guys like Lamar and Josh Allen keep getting better as passers while their teams keep committing to surrounding them with legit receivers instead of just saying "hey, we got us a dynamic dual threat QB so we're good on offense, time to invest all the resources on defense!"

No one takes mainstream country music seriously anymore for very good reason. poo is just hick pop.

The horseshoe fell out of his ass on that one. LOL
-
The story of Russell Wilson's entire career. Throw up a prayer, watch a receiver coming flying out of nowhere to fight through three DBs to come down with a circus catch. Rinse and repeat for years
-
And no one would've noticed had they not thrown a flag and explained why. That's the NFL playing itself.
-
I've been wondering all year whether KC was gonna start playing better or start losing games because it felt like they've been putting up a gaudy record despite not playing particularly well and that couldn't last, but they're completely dominating the Steelers early on.
-
Xavier worthy just got absolutely leveled by his own lineman. LOL
-
The Chiefs are just catching every break and bounce this year literally. That fumble shot out of there like a damn cannonball and bounced off someone's back and right into the arms of another Chief. That's just the way this entire season has been for them. It's really damn hard to beat a team that's both really good AND really lucky.

I'm not sure what triggered the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty there after the TD. I didn't see anything
-
It was shitty watching a lot of people reacting by criticizing how Stroud and some of the other emotional Texans players were reacting to what they were calling a "relatively normal injury". I mean, when you see players reacting like that and they drive an ambulance into the field instead of using the standard cart, that should tell you it's no run of the mill every other Sunday type of injury.
-
Tank Dell will have multiple surgeries and they're already saying he's out for the entirety of next season. He basically internally amputated his leg. This might end up career ending and is almost certainly to be significantly career impacting.
-
This is the best news Georgia football has gotten all season long. Carson Beck is ass and should've been benched weeks ago.

Spencer Rattler in a nutshell right there. As good of a throw as you'll see made on 3rd and 17 to move the chains then as ugly of an INT as you'll see on the very next play. LOL
