ELLIS L. WILLIAMS Of the OBSERVER on Jimmy G
LinvilleGorge replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Top tier Keep making fun of people for winning in the playoffs way back in 2020, which is what I mocked you for doing. Because it deserved mocking when coming from a Panthers fan. -

You seem upset. Compare their playoff stats. Mayfield was pretty good. Jimmy G plays like Darnold in the postseason. -

With the way he loves to trade I can't see him sitting on his hands while 131 picks go by. -
Kinda why I'd like him. Have a FS capable of legit manning up in the slot would open up a lot options on defense on terms of blitz packages.

Old thread bumped by spammer. Nothing to see here.

Yep, that would be his fit. Slot WR,/return guy. -
Yeah, I'd spend a mid-rounder on the name alone.
-
Yeah, he's interesting. Been looking at him along with Bryan Cook, Jalen Pitre, and Smoke Monday.

A lot more similarities than differences. -
The Panthers publicly threw Teddy under the bus while he was still on the roster. They didn't learn anything from that and have done the same with Darnold. McAdoo is just declining to be a dumbass here. As long as a guy is on your roster you need to at least attempt to try to spin that as a positive thing.

Ummm. Texas A&M finished #4 in the country Mond's last year there and they went 26-10 during the three seasons he was the full-time starter. Cincinnati was 60th in the country in offensive yardage last year. They were 10th in defense. That's even more lopsided than TAMU who was 37st and 9th, respectively. Ridder was a game manager like Mond. Both of those teams were driven by elite D. -

Ridder just seems like Kellen Mond 2.0. The skill set and measurables are intriguing. Plays for a team that wins and honestly punches above it's weight class. So you tube in expecting to be impressed and... damn, it's a JAG floated by an elite defense. -
Panthers meet with Sam Howell

Tepper, you've ruined everything else Panthers related for me. Please, do me this one favor. Please do not draft Sam Howell. -
Panthers meet with Sam Howell
LinvilleGorge replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
I wonder what those numbers look like for Howell the previous two years? Everything last season comes with a huge asterisk. Howell played QB his first two seasons. Last year, he was trying to play offense. As in carry the entire offense himself. -
If we draft a QB, I want Carson Strong
LinvilleGorge replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Pickett is a better athlete but Trask is a better QB. I honestly see very little to get excited about with Pickett when I watch him play. The measurables don't show up. The arm is average. He bails out of clean pockets too often. He just looked like a decently talented guy who had spent five years in the same system and took advantage of that experience advantage that will get spun around on him in the NFL where his talent level is average at the position. It's just not a recipe for success IMO. -
But why? Why would Arizona be willing to trade him?

LinvilleGorge replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Everyone keeps trying to sell Jimmy G based on the Niners' team accomplishments while ignoring his poor play. Is Jimmy G better than Sam Darnold? Yeah. But that's no the whole question. Is he good enough to trade for and)or good enough to take a $24M cap hit on next year? Hell no. So trading for him would be an awful idea. I'f we're a 4-5 win team with Darnold, we're probably a 6-7 win team with Jimmy G and then he's a free agent and here we are again a year from now. -

No one wins with Tepper and Rhule's Panthers either. And no one wins with Sam Darnold.
