  1. Our D was okay last year. Not great, but okay. Our offense was abysmal. Add Watson and subtract all those other pieces and we probably flip flop. Now our offense is okay and our D is abysmal. End result is another losing season. Them we get to watch the Texans make that 1st round pick. Then again in '24. Then again in '25.
  2. Yep. You lose both of those guys, Reddick, Gilmore, and Jackson now you have the makings of the worst D in the league. You just lost almost very impact player on your defense last year. I'd argue all of them except Shaq. He's be your line impact defender remaining from last year.
  3. It think it was mainly the combo of landing a legit franchise QB then the very next year drafting the best rookie WR the NFL has ever seen. That put them over the top.
  4. You can't give up three 1st round picks and probably more draft assets plus your two best young defensive players. That's gutting your roster. For the record, I meant both would be the deal breaker for me. I fully expect the Texans to demand Burns as part of the deal.
  5. I would just hope we could avoid giving up both Burns and Chinn. Honestly, it might be a deal breaker for me.
  6. Oh yeah, you were so right about Rodgers who just got paid more than anyone in NFL history.
  7. Oh Jesus. It's the "we can fix Darnold" stance all over again. At least they got plenty of other assets in that trade. I imagine he really was a throw in in case they need a bridge QB and this is an attempt to sell him to the fanbase as not just an afterthought.
  8. I've considered picking it up several times in the past I'm just most certainly I'd be truly terrible. I have no musical or artistic talent what so ever.
  9. Yeah, I felt certain this gets done this coming week but now with Watson wanting to meet with suitors that probably pushes this to late next week at the earliest.
  10. When Tepper asks Rhule to leave the room so he and Watson can speak privately that's when Tepper sells his soul and tells Watson he can hand pick the Panthers' next head coach. Hell, Tepper might even whip out some massage oil. The man is desperate.
  11. I've been hearing about how the Saints are desperately salary cap strapped every year for a decade plus now yet they find a way to make the moves they want to make every year anyway.
  12. If we trade for Watson I'm gonna ban you. You should thank me for saving you from yourself. You've been wildly wrong about virtually everything but your confidence hasn't wavered a bit.
  13. I don't think anyone is putting him on a pedestal. He's just an unknown. An unknown is better than known trash.
  14. Tepper is desperate for a QB. He knows this fanbase is desperate for a QB. He's not letting these rumors run rampant just to jerk the football out from underneath Charlie Brown and face the backlash from an already very pissed off fanbase.
  15. I'm just saying we had opportunities to find out. Christensen should've gotten a lot more time at LT. Brown should've gotten an opportunity to play RG. If the vets are trash you might as well get a look at your rookies, especially once you're mathematically eliminated. We blew a golden opportunity to do just that in a risk free environment. Especially since the QB of the future wasn't even on the roster and the star RB was already on IR.
  16. We're actually watching the live action play reality show that will later be condensed and released as "Dumber and Dumbest: Harry and Lloyd Run the Carolina Panthers".
  17. I wish I knew about Brown. If only we had played him at some point last year instead of proven trash vets.
  18. Literally all of them. He has been reported to have a trade coming imminently many times. I'm starting to understand what you "buy". Anything that leads to what you want
  19. It's been reported approximately 1357 times that he was going to be traded imminently. I would think folks would've learned to have maybe learned not to take reports on this situation as gospel by now.
  20. It's not about what they would love, like, or hate. It's about Watson having the legal ability in his contract to force what he wants.
  21. These hometown draws are often mentioned but rarely seem to actually play out.
  22. If Watson says yes to Seattle and no to Carolina then the Texans don't have much of an option. There only leverage here is refusing to trade him at all and continuing to pay him to sit at home.
