I think he has elite talent with virtually nonexistent skills. He's getting by on sheer raw physical ability. He's going to have to improve technically in a big way at the NFL level. Total boom/bust pick IMO. I'd bet on bust.

I said when we traded for him that he would likely look decent early but the more film teams got on him in our system the worse he'd look. Not gonna lie though, as against the trade that I was, it shocked even me how bad he ended up actually being. It wasn't Gase and the Jets. It was Darnold. He really was just THAT bad. Once NFL teams get a read on him in a system they have that dude dialed. He's done.

I don't disagree. All the hype on Sam was about his physical tools and inexperience playing QB. With more experience he had the ability to be great. Had.

Literally the only people still on the Sam bandwagon are the "analysts" who had him wildly overrated in the draft. At least this guy is honest about that.

If he's willing to sign off on it I fully expect it to happen. This is the type of move that could legit save Rhule's job. If it happens I'll definitely be conflicted. Elite QB? Check. But, oh man... definite baggage. Also, if it happens I'll be pissed Rhule knee jerk fired Brady because I would've liked to have seen him get a chance to work with an actual NFL QB before getting scapegoated.

To elaborate on this, I'm not talking about guys like Burns, Moore, etc. who are already good players you're hoping can make the jump to the truly elite. We're talking about a guy most of the fanbase has been ready to just flat out move on from because he peaked with a decently promising rookie season considering his draft position. We've been waiting on next steps ever since.

Bingo. Hence why I've been saying that as bad as it looks currently, with Rhule still here and still weilding full control it's bound to get uglier.

Oh, we're gonna hamstring the fug out of him. I fully expect future draft assets to get traded away and our salary cap getting shot all to hell. Rhule has already proven to be in over his head at the NFL level and now he's desperate. That's scary.

Why in god's name would anyone leave the Bills' organization for here? The Seahawks could potentially be a different story depending on the general feel in the building for how much longer Pete Carroll is gonna stick around. But the Bills? Hell, he'd never come out and admit it publicly but I imagine that if Dan Morgan had a mulligan on that decision he'd still be in Buffalo.

Positional value matters. A lot. There's a reason very, very few IOL are taken in the top 10. I can't ever recall a center drafted in the top 10. In the top 10 you're looking for impact players at high value positions. IOL doesn't qualify IMO. The two relatively recent top 10 IOL picks were also ironically both busts.

I wish we'd hired someone who would've cleaned house to build a new and improved organization. Instead, we got David Tepper and Matt Rhule. Oh wee mayne.

Gotta remember, it's Matt Rhule. If THE Sam Darnold is worth a 2nd, 4th, and 6th then Jimmy G for next year's 1st is a steal. An absolute STEAL I tell ya! Unless by "a player" you mean a Brian Burns or Jeremy Chinn or DJ Moore type player. Oh wee mayne. I could see it. Burns and a 3rd for Jimmy G after we draft a pass rusher #6 overall. Let's see... re-sign Reddick then draft another pass rusher at #6 overall, trade next year's 1st for Jimmy G then massively overpay for some poo tier FA OL again... yeah, that sounds about right.

We're the worst organization in the NFL. These are the types of deals you have to offer to even borderline roster caliber quality players to get them to put pen to paper. It's a good indicator of what to expect in FA. Prepare to pay premium prices for everyone else's trash!
