  1. If he plays and plays decently, it'll just be more evidence that Rhule needs to be fired.
  2. You just have to laugh at this point. Finally considering playing him in the final game of a throwaway season after everyone else has failed miserably. Fatt Rhule, folks. What culture!
  3. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/01/03/bruce-arians-buccaneers-will-play-to-win-not-rest-starters/ I figured this would be the case. You don't want to get complacent after very nearly losing to the Jets while having a starting WR rage quit mid-game.
  4. Howell to the Saints would be our nightmare.
  5. People want to poo on DJ Moore yet he's the only WR on the roster who showed up this year. Robby Anderson fleeced the Panthers almost as badly as Matt Rhule, with Rhule's help.
  6. If I think his ceiling is above average starting LT, I'm checking that box and moving on.
  7. They'll probably install a playbook off of Madden.
  8. True. But he's looked legit competent in spurts. No one else has. And he's a rookie.
  9. I doubt anyone is touching AB again either way. He doesn't have much in the way of benefit of doubt based on his history, but this seems like something the NFLPA will likely help him challenge.
  10. He's a rookie who has gotten minimal playing time and yet has still been by far and away our lost effective LT. It's 100% on Rhule. It's 100% on Rhule why we haven't seen Deonte Brown despite everyone we've trotted out at RG getting treated like a doormat.
  11. Dwp being on your evaluation of Christensen at LT, I might even drop LT off the list. QB or trade down.
  12. Our OL situation becomes a MUCH easier fix if we have the long-term solutions in place at both OT spots. Serviceable IOL are much easier to find. Well, they are unless Matt Rhule or Marty Hurney are the ones shopping. My concern is Scott Fitterer may need to be on that list too. Seattle's OL is as bad as ours.
  13. At this point, Rhule seems to be just flat out daring Tepper to fire him. Maybe he should take a page out of his starting RG's book - it's the NFL, dumbass depth chart decisions happen.
  14. Toss up between Matt Rhule and Sam Darnold. Gotta respect the hustle of people who can fleece billionaires out of millions.
  15. I said it awhile back that we're basically the late stage Al Davis Raiders now. A series of knee jerk quick fix reactions predicated on overpaying because no one is choosing to come here unless it's for considerably more $$$ than other teams are offering. It is what it is.
  16. He wasn't even that good at USC. He was always one of those "potential" guys. Take him away from a loaded college roster and put him on a middling team and he would've been a late round flyer type of draft pick... because that's basically what he was as a QB. Raw as hell but had physical talent to work with. Late round flyer.
  17. Yep. They'll pick great prospects apart because of metrics and measurables. They've seemed terrified of rookie QBs but now here comes along a guy that originally committed to Matt Rhule at Temple... oh fug.
  18. Yeah, there's a place for Shula on a coaching staff. That place just isn't as the OC.
  19. No, it's not overall but in terms of specifically in game adjustments it is. Shula was at least good at developing the initial plan and carrying it through when it was working. But in terms of adjustments? His adjustments consisted of going to max protect with his checkdowns. That's it, that's all. The man could not adjust past the opening kickoff.
  20. Have you forgotten all those years with Mike Shula? Shula was actually good at developing game plans. He looked brilliant when Plan A worked as drawn up. But he never even had so much the thought of a Plan B.
  21. Joe Brady wasn't the problem. The offense came off the rails when Rhule got more involved and forced his vision of offense on Joe Brady with this "run more" approach. Funny how now that Brady is gone we can barely run the ball at all and oftentimes don't even try. I sure haven't heard Fatt Rhule throwing any shade at his old college buddy though like he did Brady.
  22. Lacking 2nd and 3rd round picks due to stupid trades kinda forces our hand and makes us consider trade down options to get back some badly needed draft capital.
  23. I've been banging the FS drum for YEARS. But, when you don't have a QB and you don't have an OL you don't have the luxury of drafting a FS in the top 10 in a league driven by offense.
  24. With the Bucs very nearly losing to the Jets yesterday, I don't think they're going to be content to rest on their laurels going into the playoffs with that performance even if their seeding position is locked up going into game time.
