  1. All you have to do is actually do what you've said you were gonna do numerous times on this thread. You've retired yourself from this conversation more times than Brett Favre. I'm gonna keep you going just to keep laughing at your delusions of grandeur while you epitomize what you accuse others of doing. Projection at its finest. You're a basket case, you're just not self aware enough to see it.
  2. This x1000. It was one of the reasons why I was so on the Cam train in that draft. That rookie wage scale allows you to swing for the fences. I would have been much more apprehensive about drafting Cam if we were going to have to immediately pay him like the best player in football.
  3. My nightmare? Nah, you got it all twisted. I'm not the one who has threatened to rage quit repeatedly. If you think calling out your shtick is insulting, that should be something for you to think about.
  4. Just wanted to point out that we'll pay Darnold roughly the same amount next year that Fields will make over the next four. The possibility of landing a quality QB on a rookie contract was one of the reasons I wanted Fields. I get it, that would've also meant foregoing Horn too, but from a salary cap perspective Fields is gonna be a lot cheaper over the next 4-5 years than Darnold will be.
  5. Sorry, I'm not going to be mis-characterized by your buddy. You're better than him. Just don't be like him and get your panties in a twist constantly. We can talk football and disagree. That's fine. It'd be boring as hell if we all agreed about everything.
  6. Says the guy who has repeatedly says he's done in this thread. Repeatedly says others are stuck on their own views while evidently also professing himself more of an expert on other people's stances than those people themselves. You're a special one.
  7. You just don't get it. You're so prone to taking things personal and make them personal you can't see it any other way. That post was not a dig at that poster in anyway what so ever. What I was saying is that if we didn't do something at #8 that we would've otherwise done at #3, then oh wee mayne. That's a dig at the Panthers in that scenario. It's you, man. It's just the way you view the world. You can't help it for some reason.
  8. Warner knows about the impact of a great RB who's also a great receiver. He had one of the best in Marshall Faulk.
  9. Is it really that difficult for you to understand that this is specifically what I was referring to in my reply? I really don't get why you have to constantly get so emotional and try to get personal with people. We're just talking football, but it's obviously a lot more than that to you. Sorry life dealt you whatever hand that makes you the way that you are.
  10. For the record... Not sure if you just misremembered or were trying to intentionally mis-characterize what I actually wrote. If you read that exchange and interpreted it as me ridiculing that poster then I don't know what to tell you. Ignore all you want, but if you're not gonna ignore at least make an effort to get it straight.
  11. Hopefully neither. Hopefully Darnold works out or the guy we draft next year after he bombs becomes the talk of the town.
  12. We all hope for the best for Sam. That's what's best for the Panthers. We don't have to blindly cheerlead and act like it's likely that we've found our franchise QB. It'll be awesome if we have, but history is strongly against that being the likeliest scenario here though.
  13. I didn't ridicule HIM. We had the #8 pick and he concocted a hypothetical of what we may have done with the #3 pick. Given that we had the opportunity to make that same pick at #8, that's relevant. You always do this. If you don't like how an argument is going, you get emotional, try to attract supporters and start arguing semantics all the while saying you're done. It's entertaining.
  14. Oh look, someone who was done isn't done. Shocking. You shoes evidence of what we already knew. Other teams had made inquiries earlier in the off-season and nothing had come of it. That's evidence of practically nothing. Teams talk and explore options constantly. Evidence of true interest is evidence of an actionable offer made.
  15. Oh god, you're still acting like you're someone's mentor? That's hilarious.
  16. If you would've drafted Fields at #3 and passed on him at #8 because of trading a 2nd round pick and a couple of mid-rounders for a former bust, oh wee the fug mayne. Successful organizations draft QBs in the 1st with aging MVPs in the roster.
  17. Inquiring. Not offering. We were negotiating with the Jets reportedly for weeks. There was no one else involved. I'm willing to "see past my own view" if you provide evidence to the contrary. But you're deep down in your own trench lobbing grenades with your fingers in your ears.
  18. There may have been a scenario where they would've been interested, but that scenario didn't develop. Teams explore backup plans all the time. We were the only team that got deep enough into the Rolodex that it dialed up Darnold.
  19. If we would've drafted Fields at #3 and passed on him at #8, oh wee mayne.
  20. Show me the offers. Show me reports of the offers. There were no reports of any other actual offers. Teams talk all the time. Teams explore options all the time. Darnold didn't have enough value to any other team to illicit any other offer. That's what the information available screams. If you have another point of view, fine. But I'd like to see what you're basing it on.
  21. No they didn't. They thought there might be a scenario where he was better than their current rusted out pinto. Kinda like the guy looking at the rusted out pinto because his current ride is spewing smoke and sounding like someone shaking a coke can full of gravel. Yeah, it might suck but damn, it's gotta be better than what I have right now.
  22. Interested enough to kick the tires and not make an offer? No, it's not. Teams make contingency plans too. I don't think Darnold was anyone else's primary plan at any point this off-season.
  23. Here's what I know for sure. For all my life the Packers have been a competitive organization. Odds are that'll continue. Meanwhile, we're Panthers fans. We really don't get to question the decisions of organizations like the Packers, Steelers, Patriots, etc. Their track record speaks for itself.
  24. Rodgers is already the third oldest MVP winners in NFL history. Like I said, Father Time is undefeated. It's really no a controversial concept to suggest that it's strongly likely that Rodgers begins to decline soon.
  25. That's what you say when you're the seller. Let me tell you right now, no one actually believed that.
