  1. A lot of y'all are overlooking that a good chunk of those draft picks were literally just to get the Lions to absorb Goff's contract. That's why a lot of us have been saying Teddy has negative trade value. We'd literally have to give up draft assets to get another team to take him off our hands.
  2. I hope this takes the Lions out of the running for a QB but I'm not at all sure that it does.
  3. This. Stafford is a significant upgrade over Goff and they needed out from under that contract THAT bad. With Stafford, the Rams are probably a SB contender next year And he probably has enough left in the tank to carry them through their SB window with this current core. Yeah, it's a steep price, but it makes sense for them.
  4. Yeah, I'll take that bet. There have only been 12 5000 yard seasons in NFL history. Stafford has one of them, but that was a decade ago and he had arguably the greatest WR ever. That was also the only time he's thrown for 40+ TDs, only breaking 30 one other season. I seriously doubt he'd rewind the clock a decade.
  5. He's 33 with two years remaining on his deal, so he's either a bridge or we'll be looking at giving big money to a 35 year old QB. I don't like it. Not if it involves #8.
  6. Yeah, if we give up #8 and they package #7 and #8 to go get Zach Wilson that's really gonna sting.
  7. We're gonna sign Teddy Bridgewater and cut Cam Newton... spin it!
  8. If we do get him we probably no longer have that spot. We're probably not drafting in the 1st this year. Then Detroit takes their #7 and our #8 and sends them to Miami for #2 and takes Zach Wilson.
  9. You might be right. The Browns never even achieved mediocrity with Joe Thomas. If you don't have a QB nothing else really matters.
  10. Bridgewater and a 2nd would be awesome. I'd do that all day long. Unloading Bridgewater is like getting a mid-round pick back in return.
  11. Two 2nds. That's my ceiling as a rebuilding team for a 33 year old QB. That won't be enough. Which is why I hope we're not in the mix.
  12. Yeah, those types have a phenomenal track record of paying off when they cash in on big money long-term deals...
  13. In a vacuum, sure. But without a QB they won't matter. We'll just be pushing off the hope of legitimately competing for another year.
  14. Sounds like a plan for mediocrity to me.
  15. That's a rough mock draft right there. All four elite QB prospects gone by #7. We end up with Sewell. Great pick in a vacuum. In reality, it just means Teddy Two Yards has a little more time to scan the field before throwing that checkdown.
  16. Yeah, he's really hurt himself this week. He could've potentially been a day two picks had he played this year.
  17. It's rough on a guy who opted out to come in and try to compete at QB in an all-star game type situation. I have a feeling if he could redo that decision he plays this year.
  18. Woah. Big time catch from a former Rhule recruit TE.
  19. Yes, but we have too many far bigger needs and not enough available cap space to justify throwing a big money contract at a DT.
  20. Shi Smith is helping himself at WR.
  21. Yep. I'd watched a couple of his games a while back and was intrigued. Then I watched a couple more recently and was like WTF was I thinking?
  22. Yep. Easy to see why he mauled guys in college playing with an OT to his left and a C to his right who are both quality NFL prospects, but get him in one on one situations and NFL DTs are gonna eat him alive with quickness.
