  1. Arguably the best player on a D giving up the most points per game in the league. Let's give him $30M!
  2. The Titans stole our playbook for that drive. Run for nothing. Screen for nothing. Screen for nothing.
  3. Hopefully the #1 overall pick again in '25. Because we still need a QB.
  4. Led or not, when you throw a ball at knee level to a RB it's usually gonna be an incomplete pass but keep coping.
  5. Watching Bryce having to literally jump like a frog to throw is getting old. Every time he does it the result is a bad throw.
  6. Zavala goes out. Maybe the OL play will improve. Not joking.
  7. But hey, he wasn't lying. He promised no more mediocrity and he delivered. I was just hoping he meant the other direction. What Tepper called mediocrity Panthers fans call the good old days.
  8. Yeah, they're fuged for this year. Everyone talks about finding a WR to replace Higgins but I think it's past time they try to put an OL in front of Burrow. I'm gunning for a top 10 pick and the best OL available if I'm them. The WR class looks deep. There will be good WR prospects available on round two. Just try to figure out the guys the Panthers are high on and cross them off your list.
  9. I mean, the majority of the Huddle has been saying this for quite awhile now.
  10. To discuss the other games being played today...
  11. You don't do that for a guy that you don't genuinely like. They knew hey did him dirty but they have a responsibility to field the best roster they can and they saw an opportunity to upgrade - at least on paper in potential - and they took it. Then they did the best they could for Grier and gave him a full game to show out for other teams and he took advantage of it. Big props to Grier and (gulp) the Cowboys for that.
  12. Don't get me wrong, he wasn't the answer hence why he's having trouble sticking to rosters. But he does seem like a good dude.
  13. Love affair? Hell, I'm saying Chicago should move on from him. Hardly a love affair. He has a high level of talent. That's obvious. He just hasn't been at all consistent. As a fan of football, I'm curious to see if a change of scenery can fix that.
  14. The only thing that's gonna happen after a long cold winter is the Bears picking at #1 with our pick.
  15. Unlike with Apple where you can watch it grow, see it's potential, and hop on at anytime at the market price, once the Patriots draft Tom Brady in the 6th round that's a wrap. No more opportunity to invest.
  16. The part about hedge funds that doesn't translate to the NFL is that there's a much larger pool of potential investment opportunities and other investors jumping in doesn't necessarily exclude you. Common stock can be held by lots of different investors. There's no exclusivity unless you buy the whole outfit and take it private. The NFL is all about a small talent pool and exclusive rights. You can't go buy stock in Patrick Mahomes. You have to identify Patrick Mahomes, go get him, then develop him. Same with coaches and front office personnel. It's an entirely different environment requiring an entirely different approach and I see no signs of Tepper understanding that. He keeps thinking he's going to figure out a secret cheat code to dominate the league when all he's really accomplishing is digging himself into a gigantic hole.
  17. It just seems like everyone Tepper hires is basically just a fall guy. If Bryce was out there killing it there's a 100% chance that Tepper would be all smiles, showing up at tailgates, and giving plenty of media interviews where he would be proudly talking credit for being personally involved in the selection of Bryce. But since Bryce looks terrible and the QB a lot of fans wanted is absolutely lighting it up he fades quietly into the background to sulk.
  18. Next year's class always looks better because people haven't started picking those guys apart as NFL prospects yet. There's a rookie QB rewriting rookie record books right now. We didn't make a terrible move going all in on a QB. We just picked the wrong QB.
  19. Fitts said they strongly considered drafting Howell even after drafting Corral. Then again, Fitts also said he'd love to have Corral back after releasing him and Corral has spent the entire season on the couch, so yeah...
  20. Should we consider trading Bryce? Honestly, yeah. Will we? There's a better chance that Tepper sells the team and donated the proceeds to charity.
  21. I said he looks like a potential top 10 pick yesterday. I don't think he will be. I expect him to probably go somewhere in the mid-late firsts. There are questions whether or not he can carry an offense, even at the college level. Michigan is very much a run first offense. More like a '90s style throwback NFL offense.
  22. It blows my mind how many Heels fans blame the Heels' woes on Maye. It's almost like they don't understand that the QB doesn't play D or block or catch passes. They did this same poo Howell's final season. Drake Maye accounted for all but 24 of our yards tonight, both his INTs bounced off of receivers, and the D gave up 500+ yarda and 39 points before NCSU packed it in and went conservative. But Drake Maye ain't poo. Maybe we get exactly what we deserve.
  23. Same way Panthers fans do. We're just used to it. Hell, at least the Heels actually play for half of the season.
  24. He can't run out there and catch 'em too. That needs to be Drake's last play for UNC. He's done more than enough for this program. He'll play in the bowl but he absolutely shouldn't.
