That was a catch and a fumble. Refs botched that IMO.

I have some issues with some of Phil Lingo's situational play calling at times but I really hope he's the long-term successor to Mack Brown. He needs to get the opportunity. The overall offensive design is great, it's fun to watch, and if you're a recruit it's the type of offense you want to play in. I don't want to lose that guy and I honestly won't be surprised if some real programs start calling him for HC interviews.

Hell yeah. Green has been terrific at RB today. The Heels sure have had a lot of RB talent in recent years.

I've seen lots of mocks with Downs in the high 2nd but I think he's likely more of a late 2nd/high 3rd type of guy. Not that he won't be a darn good NFL WR but I think NFL teams are going to see him as a slot only type of guy and I don't think they're wrong about that and those types of receivers generally slip a bit even if they're really good. Top 50 WR picks are generally guys projected to be outside starting WRs.

I love Josh Downs. That guy is gonna make a really good NFL slot receiver.

That was big. We needed that. Maye about got a little too conservative there. Downs was open and he wanted to make sure he hit him but he almost put enough air under it that it brought the DB back into play

Honestly, I don't have a good argument against this. Put him on a borderline top 25 type team and I think he might be a JAG.

Every time I think this defense is taking steps in the right direction reality slaps me in the face. I know our secondary sucks but our DL has just been pushed around all over the field today too.

UNC STILL has not learned they can't afford to rush three. 3rd and 15... 1st down. Then a TD on the very next play. That was a huge sequence in this game and it's 100% Gene Chizik's fault. YOUR SECONDARY fuging SUCKS. YOU CANNOT RUSH THREE. RIP THOSE fuging PAGES OUT OF YOUR PLAYBOOK.

That was my issue. Just nothing translated in terms of athletic traits. He didn't look like he belonged on an NFL football field.

I think he's basically a Jared Goff type.

As a college QB? He is. As an NFL prospect? Honestly, I think Fields was a clearly superior prospect. That doesn't necessarily mean Stroud won't be a better NFL QB but if I had the chance to pick one or the other it'd be Fields.

That's what people thought after the first few games with Darnold last year too. The truth is told once opposing teams have film to study. Don't hold your breath.

Richardson has to be smart enough to throw that OB. Getting tackled inbounds there for no gain means a drive killer and you're heading to halftime.

Let me watch the rest of the season to see how the rest of the QBs shape up. I mean, Stroud today vs. 1-7 Northwestern isn't exactly looking like a surefire All-Pro.
