A Different Perspective on the Young vs Stroud Decision
LinvilleGorge replied to Matthias's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think the NFL disagrees on Jones in particular. He's available and evidently no one is biting with a decent offer. That wouldn't be the case of the Bears put Fields on the block. Tua is a good QB but is he gonna last physically? Watching him get tossed around like a ragdoll should be concerning for the Bryce Young contingent. -
A Different Perspective on the Young vs Stroud Decision
LinvilleGorge replied to Matthias's topic in Carolina Panthers
My concern with Young is pretty simple. Does he translate to the NFL or is he a really good natural QB whose physical limitations will catch up to him at the highest level? I honestly think there are less questions about Stroud in terms of projecting his translation to the NFL. To me, it really boils down this way... Young: You're betting on his natural talent in terms of his feel for and understanding of the game and you think that is more than enough to compensate for his physical shortcomings... and that he can take the physical tolls of playing QB in the NFL at his stature. Stroud: You're betting on the good total package. Good but not great arm. Good but not great size. Good but not great athleticism. Feels like the safest pick of the bunch but might have a borderline top 10 type NFL QB ceiling. Richardson: You're betting that you can help him develop the mental and technical aspects of his game to catch up with his immense physical talent. He and Bryce Young are basically the opposite sides of the same coin. Levis: You should stop hanging out late night with Jim Irsay and consider rehab. -

Now do Alabama QBs. The best current NFL QBs from both of these schools didn't finish college at that school. They've both produced plenty of NFL QB flops. -

If our guy doesn't pan out and one or more others do it's gonna absolutely suck out loud. Drafting this guy or that guy isn't gonna make it sting any less. -
You definitely don't want to run into the wrong cop. A ridiculous percentage of D8 products end up testing with illegal concentrations of D9.

Ron Rivera hints he "didn't mesh" with David Tepper

He didn't get dealt to Seattle. We cut him. He signed with Seattle as a free agent. He retired two years ago signing a one day contract to retire a Panther. -

Ron Rivera hints he "didn't mesh" with David Tepper
LinvilleGorge replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ron, you better just hope my guy Sam Howell can save your ass because the only time you've ever resembled a competent NFL HC is when Cam Newton was doing his best Superman impressions. Now granted, that's still more than Tepper has managed to achieve as an owner but I'm just sayin'... -
I mean, Mac Jones sucks. So there's that to consider too. Don't be surprised to see this storyline out of Pittsburgh regarding Pickett after this season.

Absolutely slayed 'em. mid-March through mid-May is definitely my favorite time of year for trout fishing in NC.

Speaking as a former CO resident, D8 is actually illegal there. Probably the same for those other states. Does that make any sense? No, absolutely not. But trying to make any sense out of any of the drug war logic is an act of utter futility.

You can try Delta-10. It's generally considered even milder than Delta-8 though. Or you can just work on your green thumb.

[The Athletic] How the Bears & Panthers trade went down
LinvilleGorge replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yep. It's damn good too. I have an account I drop-off product to on Huntersville. Generally make it a habit of swinging into Ass Clown when I do. Definitely one of the best in the Carolinas. -
It's a constantly moving target. Just the reality of a gray market.

Trade finalized just before happy hour... ironically, I found out standing at the bar at Ass Clown Brewing in Cornelius when it scrolled across the ESPN ticker. Now let's hope that isn't prophetic and we don't turn out to be ass clowns in this deal. -
That's what I'd be saying if I was them too. But would it be shocking to find out that we were bidding against ourselves... again? Honestly, no. That's what ended up coming out after we traded for Darnold too. We were pretty much the only team seriously trying to trade for him. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter. End up with a stud QB on a rookie contract with this pick and no one cares. It will have been worth it.

You can always try THC-0. Buckle up if you do.

Young VS Stroud, the greatest Panthers debate ever?

A lot of Hurney's success with 1st rounders was aided by others' mistakes. Had Brian Burns not been available he was gonna take Greg Little at #16. -

I didn't really become a Panthers fan until we drafted Peppers 2nd overall in '02 but I bet there was a lot of hollering to take Joey Harrington. -
They know it's a loophole. Basically selling an intoxicating substance using the hemp loophole. Since the D8 is derived through legal hemp it's technically still legal or at least not outright illegal. It's very much a gray area. fug the government and their stance on cannabis, period. They'll rubber stamp ever increasingly potent opioids in the midst of an outright opioid epidemic killing god only knows how many people and then have the balls to call cannabis dangerous. It's a fuging joke.
