That's why I didn't want him. He basically did nothing in college until a super senior year that wouldn't have even happened had it not been for NCAA COVID year policy.
-
That's what I expect too but if XL doesn't impress I hope they have a quick trigger finger on making the change.
-
Forget bubble, they need to be asking if he's gonna replace XL in the starting lineup.

Injuries aside, agreed.

Hopefully, just hard to say with him kissing the last two weeks

I have no dog in this fight. Play the better player who has earned the spot and feel pretty good about having a decent backup option/plan B. Lord knows there's not many of those on this roster.

Wild Idea.. Trade for Shemar Stewart

Well that's a bizarre thread bump. LOL -
I sure hope it's T-Mac but I won't be surprised in the least of Coker becomes the #2. At this point I'd already have him there and would've told XL it's up to him to earn it back, your draft status has carried you as far as it's going to carry you. We're playing the best players.

Calling Ian Thomas a JAG is an insult to all the hard working JAGs out there filling their role. Ian Thomas was the type of guy who should've bounced around training camps for a couple of years after his rookie contract expired before realizing that there's just not a spot for him in the NFL. His value in the NFL should've been fighting for a bottom of the roster spot while he was dirt cheap on a rookie contract. Once he had to be paid vet min his value slid to zero.

This. But yeah, he looked undeniably awful.

It seems like Bryce has really good chemistry with Thielen, T-Mac, and Coker. Everyone else is a work in progress on that front. When you consider that Theilen is well past his prime and could very possibly be entering his final season in the NFL, there's no way in hell I'm trading Coker unless the offer was just over the top absurdly generous. Honestly, the #1 goal this season should be trying to get the answer on Bryce Young moving forward. Moving Coker for some bandaid defensive piece or future draft assets that may or may not pan out would just be wildly idiotic which gives the history of Tepper's Panthers makes it frighteningly likely. LOL

Yep, we belong at or near the bottom of the league until we prove otherwise.
-
Sidelined due to injury situations aside, Ian Thomas has to be the Panthers who put the most money in the bank for the least return on the field. Sean Gilbert entered my mind but he was decent, he just was nowhere near the dominant force that we invested in him to be. Ian Thomas was just an absolute waste of a roster spot and yet somehow turned that into damn near $20M. Crazy.

The forum largely turning into draft talk by Halloween is an annual Panthers tradition at this point.
-
LOL Imagine embarrassing yourself like this to simp for some other team's 5th round rookie.
-
To enjoy a Panthers game it's important to bring your poo eating grin with you.
-
Well, at least we haven't resorted to selling poo shaped pretzels and telling fans it's meant to be our logo, but maybe we should look into it

Yeah, outside of the TD drive there wasn't a whole lot to be hopeful about. I mean, even the starting D benefitted from Shedeur missing a couple of throws and a receiver cutting off a comeback route half a yard short on 3rd down. It was more about the Browns failing to capitalize than it was about them forcing stops.
-
So you think 32 teams colluded just to hose Shedeur Sanders in the draft? For a self proclaimed intelligent person you consistently make the lowest IQ arguments. LOL
-
No one gets "hosed" in the draft. You get drafted where your perceived worth is. Just more emotion based arguments from you, per usual.
-
We'll find out if he plays in the regular season. Watching y'all slobber over this dude because he played well against our camp bodies after looking like a JAG against our starters and primary backups is just embarrassing.
-
We didn't learn anything new. He held the ball forever, scrambled around, and found some receivers against subpar completion. It was just an extension of Colorado. We already know he can do that. We don't know if he can play QB in the NFL when games matter and teams are game planning for him to try to do that.
-
I'm saying he didn't look very good against actual NFL players and started liking good when he was playing against guys who will be working at the Amazon warehouse in a couple weeks. It's not that hard to decipher.
-
Okay. All I'm saying is that we consistently look incompetent on the field so don't be the least but surprised if that continues into the regular season. Maybe we break that trend this year but... I wouldn't bet a dime on it.

Norman was getting 2nd/3rd round talk. Thornton was a potential late round pick. Both guys slid considerably due to poor workouts. Norman to the 5th, Thornton out of the draft. Thornton also played four seasons at UCF before a super senior year at Louisville.
