  1. I just think his physical limitations are going to be too much to overcome. Great small college QB who was fun as hell to watch at that level but I just think the ball is in the air too long at the NFL level.
  2. Paradis was coming off of a serious injury though. That was my big hang up on him.
  3. Then ignore it. Funny how there's never any complaints about fanboys of any other college team. Kinda gets annoying listening to the small handful of you whine about it. Yeah, I'm a UNC fan but am I whining about picking an NCSU OT? Nope. I want good players regardless of where they played in college.
  4. I really don't think we're giving up next year's 1st. I'd be shocked.i honestly think Tepper would veto it.
  5. His ceiling isn't the issue. If you knew you were getting his ceiling I think he's worth a high 2nd given the run on WRs yesterday. The issue is his floor and last anyone saw he was faceplanted on it.
  6. The problem is that he makes Teddy Bridgewater's arm look like Jeff George in comparison. I mean, his arm is college weak. I hope the kid can stick on a roster but his arm is going to be a hugely limiting factor in the NFL. Possibly insurmountable.
  7. It makes sense to me for both sides if the right QB prospect is still available.
  8. I remember Star's reaction. I was so excited for the pick and he looked like he needed a trashcan to puke in.
  9. That's what I thought too but given that crazy run on WRs yesterday and multiple major trades for vet WRs I think he my have more value than I would've thought. There are still contenders like GB and KC who are borderline desperate at WR.
  10. I don't think we can make the move without a player being involved and Robby would be my bet.
  11. Probably so. I think Willis comes off the board very early tonight. I know the Panthers like Howell but I don't know how much. Another team that likes him is the Seahawks and the hold the 9th and 10th picks in the 2nd.
  12. Here's why I think they're going to fly... The top 10 picks in the 2nd round are: Bucs Vikings Titans Giants Texans Jets Bears Seahawks Seahawks Colts Every team there minus the Jets and Bears could potentially pick a QB. I don't think the Bucs will since they picked a QB in the 2nd last year. I expect them to definitely field calls for that pick. The Vikings may delude themselves into trying to make a run with Cousins. I think they field calls too. I'll be surprised if the Giants and Seahawks DON'T take QBs. Maybe the Colts too. Teams later in the round will be looking at that too.
  13. Look at the trades yesterday. The trade ups largely haven't been super costly. We're not trading our 1st next year. I could see something like Robbie and a mid-rounder given the run on WRs yesterday and some good teams still borderline desperate at WR.
  14. Look at some of the trade ups yesterday. The teams trading down usually weren't getting great value. More like Wal-Mart house brand generic Great Value.
  15. I would prefer not to trade Brown. He looked promising as a rookie then had a sophomore slump. I wouldn't give up on him yet unless it was a very strong offer.
  16. Seems like it happens every year. Some surprise 1st round picks mean there are some surprises still left on the board in the early 2nd.
  17. When you have to go back 20+ years to try to make a point your point might not be all that great.
  18. I would not be shocked to see an early run on QBs tonight. I could see Willis, Howell, and Ridder all going in the first 10-12 picks. Possibly Corral too.
  19. I swear one of these days fans might stop talking in absolutes about the NFL draft.
  20. Yep. If we had that pick we're all debating about Willis vs. Howell vs. Ridder instead of wondering what we're going to do to try to get something at QB.
