So basically he was a real shithead back in his younger days. Seems like he's either out that behind him or gotten smart enough with it that he can at least avoid run-ins with the law.

Joe Brady's future in football is likely a lot brighter than Matt Rhule's. He was the sacrificial lamb for Tepper's man crush.

For all the Brady Christensen fans....

@Catsfan69 have you literally ever made a constructive post that has actually added to a conversation? Your entire posting persona is that of a stereotypical grumpy old boomer. -
I can't say. IMO, his entire draft status hinges on the things I can't know. How he interviews and does on the whiteboard with concepts being thrown at him is his everything. It's Herbert all over again. The physical tools are there. All the questions are about mentally transitioning to an NFL offense.

Say what? He has a Liberty QB #1 and QBs from the likes of Western Kentucky, Alabama A&M, Western Michigan, Nevada, Brown, Kent State, and Prairie View A&M account for half his list.

In what universe has Darnold ever been an "average starter"? Darnold is one of the statistically worst starting QBs in recent memory. And as much as I love Cam, his days as a starting QB are sadly over.

I agree that Willis doesn't look like he has Vick speed. Or Lamar Jackson or Kyler Murray speed for that matter. I do think he's faster than McNabb though. He looks to have Cam like speed to me. Which is still damn fast but there's a big difference between being 6'5" 260 with 4.5 speed and being 6'1" 215 with 4.5 speed. The former is rare. The latter is average NFL athleticism (looking at the league as a whole, obviously still very good athleticism at the QB position). I know Willis supposedly ran 4.37 at Auburn, but those college times are almost always greatly exaggerated.

Quietly, one of the biggest losses for UNC was Beau Corrales. He's not an NFL prospect, but he is a darn good college possession receiver who was expected to be able to keep us from being a one man receiving crew until we could develop some youth. Instead, he got injured and left us with a damn good WR in Josh Downs but nothing outside of not yet ready youth beyond him.

Playing Madden franchise mode this makes all the sense in the world. In reality, this is about as tough of a position change as imaginable. You're not only asking Christensen to transition from playing outside at OT to inside at OG, you're also asking him to transition from playing on the left side of the OL to playing on the right. That's nowhere near the slam dunk that this article pretends it to be. -
The big problem with Van Dyke is just about the biggest possible problem. He isn't draft eligible.

You might be right except for the reality that when he played he was clearly our best LT option and Rhule and company still made every effort not to continue playing him at LT despite this. -

Which is what a lot of us have been saying. We should have a much better idea had we actually played the kid more. Instead we have a... well, maybe?- 79 replies

There's just no way Pickett has 8.25" hands. I think he measures at or near 9" and the hand size thing pretty much goes away.

In the TB? Yep, attacks are open season.

Albert Breer on the Panthers quarterback options

I think even dumbass Fhule can look and see the Rodgers, Wilson, and Watsons of the market. Of course, Fhule might put Jimmy G just barely a notch below them. -
I think it's time to replace the poo emoji
LinvilleGorge replied to EgoDogg's topic in Huddle Lounge
I've always thought we should replace it with something like this I mean, that's usually what the poo emoji signifies 99% of the time. You're triggered and want that known but you can't articulate a rational intelligent response. poo basically = triggered beyond words -

Trading valuable draft assets and taking on a $24M in salary for Jimmy G seems pretty bad. -
Feels inevitable.

There's so many better landing spots right now. No vet with other good options is coming here to play for a coach who looks way in over his head, is probably on the hot seat, and if you're a QB behind a terrible OL. Like our sorry OL additions showed last year, the only vets we're getting are the ones we're willing to overpay - and we were nowhere near as bad of a destination last year since the Panthers were generally competitive last year on the way to an overall poor W-L record. We weren't competitive this year and the deeper into the season we got the worse we looked. Not good. -
Likely all but confirms what I've been suspecting - the Broncos are going all in on wooing Aaron Rodgers this off-season

I think I first mentioned Jimmy G as ultimately the most likely candidate almost a month ago.
