    What did they think he could do when they signed him? 99% of us knew he was not the answer. I just don’t get it. We could have just sucked it up, trotted out Grier, lost almost every game, and cemented a top pick. Now we are stuck in no mans land.

    Didn’t want Stafford so bullet dodged...whew. Is it me or are the Panthers getting close to crossing the line from being aggressive into looking desperate in their QB search?

    Basically do you guys want to have a franchise QB right now or roll the dice that we hit or develop a franchise QB? We could use pick after pick and come up blanks. Watson is what we hope to get if we are lucky so just get him now.

    There will be a QB talent hole in the division soon. Brees is done. Brady maybe 1-2 more years. Ryan meh. If we get a Watson we can possibly own this division for a decade.

    This. Other teams have more to give the Texans but Watson gets final say and he may not want to go to those teams.

    But he gets to choose where he goes. If he wants the Carolina then we will get him. It isn’t like the Texans hold all the cards. Of course the Texans can choose to not trade him but if he wants out a deal will be made.

    The Texans will get one hell of a haul for him for sure. If they are smart (derp) they can be better without him verses keeping him.

    I’m guessing Miami. They have assets to trade, no state tax, and killer weather. We have Bojangles.

    To win and be a regular contender you have to have a franchise QB. It is rare for a team without one to be good year to year or make a SB appearance. That said, there is no guarantee any of the QBs in this draft outside of Lawrence are sure fire franchise QBs. It is a gamble. Watson is proven and young. I say get it done.
