That's a historic win that will become legendary. Fug, even RBA was going crazy. Will record the replay on BSSO tomorrow and post the NHL highlight reel tomorrow.
-
Holy fugging balls!
-
Looks like another loss to a bad team. They get back in this one I'll be impressed.
-
Raanta is the only reason this isn't a 4-1 Sharks lead. Canes can't even get entry into the offensive zone.
-
Don't like the way this game is shaping up. Canes getting separated from the puck along the boards every possession it seems.
-
He crushed him in the corner.
-
Good work by KK and deHaan to tie it up.
-
Bad line change leads to a cheap one for SJ.

Governor went with the Festus reference when describing what he looks like with a beard. Wow! Pretty self depreciating guy.

He follows the team. Used to have tickets

4 games, including tonight, before the all-star break. A 9-day break before the Rangers visit Raleigh on Feb 11. None of these are assumed wins. Boston obviously the best team in the league right now; the Kings give Carolina fits because of the matchups across the top 2 lines and Buffalo has made a huge leap since the start of the season. 5-6 points would be very welcome leading into the break. 73 points or better by the break will make me very happy.
-
Starting lines (spoiler: Raanta was in net first this morning). Forwards: Teravainen - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - Kotkaniemi - Necas Martinook - Staal - Fast Noesen - Stastny - Stepan Defense: Chatfield - Burns Skjei - Pesce de Haan - Coghlan Starting Goalie: Raanta Jacob Slavin practiced this morning, but is doubtful tonight. Andersen also skated this morning, but will take the night off.
-
Freddie is supposed to be in net tonight.

House selling advice for closing costs
Anybodyhome replied to cardiackat88.'s topic in Huddle Lounge
But, the original question remains- why are you supposedly having to borrow money to pay the closing costs? -
NJ lost to Nashville.

Will Kunkel.... just a brilliant take. FFS....

Ouch.... Remember that fateful 1996 playoff win in Charlotte against the Cowboys? I believe the Panthers have won more playoff games since than the Cowboys have.

You were pretty quick to expose and destroy your significant other's credibility by disclosing that tidbit.

I really don't understand the appeal. One of the biggest selling points of attending a hockey game is the amazing proximity to the action- much closer than any of the other sports, except maybe hoops. Sitting as far away as a football stadium allows, you'll be lucky to hear a puck hitting a stick or a crossbar. And we haven't even gotten into how the league just rakes in the cash when the teams have no say in the ticket prices. For $180 I cans sit behind the penalty box at PNC. For $250 I can sit in the upper deck nosebleeds at Carter Finley. No, thanks.

I think they just need contrasting sweater colors. After all, the nearest fans to the ice will be at least 15 yards away given the fact hockey ice is about 1/3 the size of a football field.

Coaching Interview Thread IV: A New Hope
Anybodyhome replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wait.... didn't Belichick try that co-coordinator thing just this season? How'd that work out? -

And all the Colts had to do was beat the league-worst Jacksonville Jags to get into the playoffs on the last game of the regular season in 2021 and they pissed their pants. Lost to a bad Raiders team the week before and then went to Jacksonville and were never in the game. -
Coaching Interview Thread IV: A New Hope

Out of all the names brought up as possible candidates and an initial round of interviews and the best 2nd interviews candidates are Frank Reich and Steve Wilks? Holy crap- a lot of very good, viable candidates must have said, "No, thanks," to have to scrape these 2 guys up. -
As Tripp always says, "All you can ask for is consistency." I've always thought hockey officials are inherently bad at their jobs. There aren't that many rules to the game, it's not that fugging hard.

We'll get to see Timo Meier tomorrow night. He's on the block as well, although not at the top of my list, he wouldn't be nearly as costly as a rental.
