Yeah, when did he turn into such a ballsack?

Wasn't Ferraro a Whaler? How the fug is he such a Rags homer?
-
Rags just spread out, creating a lot of time & space on offense.

The perimeter passing does not require a lot of movement by the D. Hence, the Rags and other teams who solved the Canes PP later in the season knew, a simple 4 man box clogging the middle would suffice. If they get a high-low going with a decent bumper it requires the D to move more. Thrown in the occasional board pass that opens up that 1-timer. Just watch the Caps PP with #8 in his office. Even though everyone in a 20-mile radius knows he's going to shoot from there, somehow he's usually pretty uncovered when he does.

Staying with Turbo, although I have no idea which line he's on tonite.

I kinda miss that. After my last mower sh!t the bed, I called a guy I've known for years who owns his own lawn business. He does my 1 acre yard for $45 and it includes immaculate edging and blowing. He does my pine straw twice a year and sprays the pre- and post-emergent in the spring and fall. For what he charges me, I can get 5 years of mowing for what a new mower will cost. But I do miss the riding and edging, etc.

Official NHL Playoffs Thread 2024

The Dallas-Colorado series is just fun to watch. Not a lot of penalties nor stoppages. They're up & down the ice; very fast games for both of them. Oettinger has been very good so far while MacKinnon and Makar are not getting to their game. -

Florida power plays thru 4 games: 21 Boston power plays thru 4 games: 11 That being said, Florida is playing Boston's game better than Boston. -

Was a good season guys. No sense in taking out frustrations on each other. Regardless, I'll be pulling for Dallas or, if they go down, anyone in the West. Fug Boston, Florida and the Rags. -

Goalie situation next season will be interesting. Freddie has spent more time losing his footing, falling down and laying on the ice in 4 games than the entire season. -

RBA is an intense coach. Seems to me he doesn't instill the idea of playing loose and to your strength. Canes during the playoffs look a lot tighter than during the season. -

Hey, they win consistently all season long and I consider myself extremely fortunate I can attend a lot of those games and enjoy a lot of wins. Sure, the Cup is a brutal road to win, but I'll appreciate everything this organization gives its fan base. Whatever happens in the second season happens. Not much I can do but wait until October. -
Turbo in what could be his last game as a Cane.

Mr. A? "A" for assist. Has he even scored in this series?

Brunette was an interim for Florida when they went to the finals and was not offered the job. Quenneville resigned following the Blackhawk investigation. Cassidy may be the one guy who your argument does apply to during his term with the Bruins. Gallant was canned in NY because the players didn't want him there. Despite an outstanding record, it's not a secret that Rags players were very unhappy with his coaching approach following their playoff exit to the NJ Devils and subsequent player exit interviews.

Let's get real. Without emotion, let's just be honest businessmen here. RBA is not going to accept a 1-year deal and I don't think Dundon or Waddell will disrespect him by offering such a thing. It's a pretty well-known idea that RBA wants deals for all of his assistants tied to his contract. In reality, I'm not sure why any of his assistants would want that risking a potential HC gig elsewhere, but so be it. Remember, the NHL is absolutely atrocious when it comes to retreading head coaches. "Let Rod walk" and get who, exactly? Craig Berube? Don Granato, Jay Woodcroft or Todd McLellan? I can honestly say you'd likely see Granato or McLellan- both of whom come from teams not that much different than Carolina in Buffalo and Los Angeles. Personally, I'd be a little surprised if RBA left under any circumstance other than his own decision. NHL coaches don't get canned for losing in the playoffs, they get fired for not getting to the playoffs when someone (front office) thought they should. I will say this- if RBA does leave before decisions are made with respect to Guentzel, Kuznetsov, Pesce, Skjei, and Necas; and the possible retirement decisions of Burns and Staal; it will signal a rebuild and it will also mean a few very good players are going to leave who many of us thought would be re-signed at all costs.
