  1. Jarvis is pissed he got sent down a line, and he crushed Dobson.
  2. They had a very long O zone possession and the crowd got into it. Next shift Noesen scores.
  3. Jarvis is the only guy on the top line who's playing a decent game.
  4. Canes have had chances, just gotta get it into the net.
  5. Popsicle still has a chance calling Freddie with the shutout Nobody called #92's number.
  6. First goal is locked as of right now. 5:10PM
  7. Seen the video. The NHL is not college hockey. They want to call it the "Michigan" in an NHL game, in my opinion, you're basically tagging a professional hockey player as a college guy. Call it the "Michigan' in college and call it the "Svech" in the NHL. That's my point.
  8. If I'm not mistaken, Svech was the first to do it in the NHL and he's done it successfully more than another player. For those reasons alone, it should not be called the "Michigan." The "Svech" all day, yes.
  9. I just got home from the car show and may have found my vintage muscle car. 1968 Camaro RS Convertible.
  10. You pick first goal as we've done thus far, or... You may pick a goalie for a shutout. You cannot pick both. Either a shooter with first goal or a goalie with a shutout.
  11. To keep things simple, we'll call it a team shutout. In reality, goalies are not tagged with empty netters on their stat sheet; and goalies who are replaced during the game are only tagged with the loss if they gave up the game winner to the other team. So, in order to keep the complications in check, we'll call it a team shutout. If anything happens out of the ordinary, we'll have to take it under review. Hope this helps.
  12. Here it is, just in time for the post-season. There is a new wrinkle to the challenge that was not in play during the regular season. You may call a shutout by naming either goalie, Carolina or the opponent, as your pick. You cannot make a goal scoring pick, only one pick per game is allowed. If you pick Freddie, for example, you are calling him to put up a shutout and that is your pick for the game. No others allowed. 16 wins are needed to win the Cup, let's see if someone can get at least 16 correct picks for the post-season!
  13. He was holding his head when he was down. On replay, his head whiplashed into the boards. Not surprised if this is concussion related.
  14. Final standings from the inaugural "You call the shot" contest, sponsored b y absolutely nobody. Fun how it shook out. We started on November 18, with a total of 66 games being played since the first pick was made. There were 40 correct picks made from those 66 games, which, collectively, is a higher percentage than Martin's save percentage against Columbus the last game of the season. I'm pretty sure without fact-checking. Well done to everyone and thanks for playing along. There will be a playoff contest with an added choice. It'll be posted Friday sometime.
