Kuznetsov was in the player assistance program because of his intensity on the ice. He goes nearly overboard and crossed the line a couple times in Washington. Gotta wonder if RBA saw something when he scratched him. That "2 dogs, 1 bowl" comment was pretty out of character.

The perimeter passing does not require a lot of movement by the D. Hence, the Rags and other teams who solved the Canes PP later in the season knew, a simple 4 man box clogging the middle would suffice. If they get a high-low going with a decent bumper it requires the D to move more. Thrown in the occasional board pass that opens up that 1-timer. Just watch the Caps PP with #8 in his office. Even though everyone in a 20-mile radius knows he's going to shoot from there, somehow he's usually pretty uncovered when he does.

I kinda miss that. After my last mower sh!t the bed, I called a guy I've known for years who owns his own lawn business. He does my 1 acre yard for $45 and it includes immaculate edging and blowing. He does my pine straw twice a year and sprays the pre- and post-emergent in the spring and fall. For what he charges me, I can get 5 years of mowing for what a new mower will cost. But I do miss the riding and edging, etc.

The Dallas-Colorado series is just fun to watch. Not a lot of penalties nor stoppages. They're up & down the ice; very fast games for both of them. Oettinger has been very good so far while MacKinnon and Makar are not getting to their game.

Was a good season guys. No sense in taking out frustrations on each other. Regardless, I'll be pulling for Dallas or, if they go down, anyone in the West. Fug Boston, Florida and the Rags.

Goalie situation next season will be interesting. Freddie has spent more time losing his footing, falling down and laying on the ice in 4 games than the entire season.

RBA is an intense coach. Seems to me he doesn't instill the idea of playing loose and to your strength. Canes during the playoffs look a lot tighter than during the season.

Hey, they win consistently all season long and I consider myself extremely fortunate I can attend a lot of those games and enjoy a lot of wins. Sure, the Cup is a brutal road to win, but I'll appreciate everything this organization gives its fan base. Whatever happens in the second season happens. Not much I can do but wait until October.
