  1. This is my biggest concern as well. I don't believe the 2024-25 roster improved from last year, but I allow myself to be surprised. Hoping Jost, a former 10th overall pick by Colorado, somehow begins playing up to expectations.
  2. Okay, lol. 3 of the 4 QBs you listed are better in the post season than your boy. Your welcome.
  3. None of those guys play for the most over-hyped team in the league and the team that gets more coverage than anyone else. Murica's team! And, I said playoffs, not just the SB. The Cowboys have won 5 playoff games since 1996. Carolina has won more, Allen and Burrow both have more playoff wins than Dak, as does Lamar, I think.
  4. Nobody ever said Dak couldn't get it done during the regular season. The playoffs are a different story. Dak the Gak.
  5. I was right there with ya, pal. The naysayers were telling anyone who'd listen that Carr can't win the Super Bowl. Hell, baby steps. Carr could have at least won a few games.
  6. Bad enough you need to be in an ER, but watching the Panthers, too? At least you have a choice when it comes to what game to watch.
  7. Ever listen to his older stuff with Procol Harum? Whiter Shade of Pale is probably the best known, but I really like Salty Dog. Procol Harum was supposed to play Woodstock in '69, but Trower's wife was expecting and they didn't go. Conquistador is another popular tune. Simple Sister:
  8. Chief's RT is moving before the snap on every pass play.
  9. NBC has already annointed the Chiefs as a three-peat.
  10. Did anyone really think the NFL would let KC lose a home opener when they got to show off the trophy and unveil the new world champion sign? Touching Mahomes is illegal, so the best we can hope for is a ruptured Achilles as he runs around the backfield looking for somewhere to throw the ball.

  12. Exactly. Now that I'm retired, I'd seriously consider an EV as a 2nd vehicle/daily driver. Keep my gas-guzzling Tahoe for road trips.
  13. Necas: I was 50-50 on re-signing with Hurricanes https://thescore.com/nhl/news/3060255
  14. Just got back from San Diego and the wife and I used Uber for everything- was far less than renting a car for 3 days... Anyway, guy picked us up one evening going to dinner in his Tesla and he told us the only time he uses it is when driving for Uber and doing errands around town. No long distance and no interstate. The energy consumption is crazy if he goes over 60 on the interstate. And, if you know anything, please understand that doing 60 on a SoCal interstate will get you killed. He says a full charge nets him a little over 300 miles, but if it's on the interstate at 65 or 70, it drops to less than 250.
  15. It's nothing but RBA's ego getting in the way of proven performance if Necas isn't playing center this season. Last season wasn't his best, but he had a breakout year playing center in 22-23, so I'm not sure what the deal is unless RBA wanted better D, which he did improve on last season. Still some work to be done there.
  16. 8 years @ $7.5M per year being reported. Done.
  17. C'mon, man. Let's get this thing done and start playing hockey!
  18. Laine went to the Habs for a former 3rd round pick in D-man Jordan Harris and a 2026 2nd round pick. Columbus retains no salary. Harris signed a 2-year extension in February for $1.4M AAV. In other words, Columbus unloaded Laine for peanuts .
  19. Fan Fest was in Clemson? Really? I did not know that, but, why would I?
  20. Starters have been taking games off for a few years now. Of course, a lot of them wouldn't be starters on other NFL teams, so, yeah, mail it in.
  21. Anyone associated with the organization giving a sh!t about the fan experience is lying to you. Armanti Edwards pounded the drum Saturday night? 'Nuff said.
  22. Nope, nope and more nope. I was high on this guy a few years back when he was with the Winnipeg Jets, but he's since proven himself as a locker room cancer. He was a pain in the ass in Canada, got moved to Columbus and guess what? He's right back at it. He couldn't get along with Scheifele and Wheeler in Winnipeg, because neither really wanted to play on the same line as Laine. Coach in Winnipeg at the time was Paul Maurice. If he wasn't such a spoiled, entitled asshat, he could have stayed and made the Jets a much better team. But no, he gets shipped to Columbus and, last season, suffers a concussion (it was not a clean hit) and later, a broken collarbone. He ultimately ended up in the Player Assistance Program. Wouldn't surprise me if he does a Kuznetsov and heads back to his native Finland. I'd be very surprised is anyone wants to take a chance on him for the kind of money he'll probably want. And, Waddell is trying to move him even though he has a 10-team NMC. Not often you see a GM of Waddell's caliber want to move someone with that kind of a cap hit. He must know Laine won't come close to earning $8.7M this season. And, he's carrying an $8.7M cap hit.
  23. What "bloodlines?" Contrary to a lot of assumptions, he is not related to Jake Plummer. He's a JAG QB who bounced thru 3 different schools during his collegiate career and never stayed in one place long enough to establish a game.
