It's playoff hockey and if anyone thinks the same penalties called during the regular season will be called needs to watch some more hockey. And let's not get caught up in the "horrifying photos" crap. It's not as though Anders Lee is some choirboy on the ice- he's gotten away with plenty already through 4 games in this series, not the least of which was one of several Isles players going after Guentzel after he scored the empty netter in Game 2. Hey, Isles fans, stop whining and play hockey.

I'm back and without, much fanfare, 4 games into Round 1 we finally have a winner! Technically, there are no "standings" since only 1 person has picked a winner. Nonetheless... organicrusty1201 ... and everyone else.... nothing.

Road game 2OT. I never thought the Canes would win both road games. But I'm okay- Canes will win Tuesday. That being said, I do believe Kochetkov should have played today because of the short rest.

Nope. Pesce's injury could really throw a wrench in the off-season if it's serious. I've always felt Skjei would get a deal and Pesce would be the FA. If this is a serious injury, Pesce may not get much attention and the Canes either pay and keep him at a discount and they still may be unable to keep Skjei.

I don't know, but I thought Dallas was by far the best team in the west. If the Canes made it to the finals, the one team I wouldn't look forward to seeing was Dallas. They are a terrible matchup for the Canes and they always pose a problem.

Toronto and the refs called it a legal hit. The same Toronto player safety people told the refs to pull Oshie off the ice for a concussion check. If it's "through the body" how do you then turn around and act like you're worried about a concussion? Oshie's head never hit the ice, he went to his knees.

Except for the headshot Panarin put on TJ Oshie without penalty. So, if the refs reviewed and determined no penalty; then the concussion watchers took him off the ice, how was it not a penalty?

I don't think the Isles can afford to go thug mode. They'll continue to rack up PIM and lose focus on winning the game. I also don't think Patrick Roy will let them go down that road. He's building the Isles and they need to win 1 at home. I think they will.
