He ain't going out like that. That's the problem. People here don't want to admit that Sam has played better imo. Sam didn't lay down. Sam and Baker are a midget fight, not the battle of titans. I'm on team Sam because in reality Baker doesn't provide any more punch than Sam and really shouldn't be in the room if he's not a significantly better option than Darold who himself is only good for a 6-7 win season with this schedule. The real answer is neither. Instead he gives Matt Corral "the future" no reps with the ones and throws him into the game with the 3-4 string o line. Doesn't seem like Rhule is a fan like McAdoo/Fitts. A smart organization who isn't in contention for anything would develop their rookie who was QB1 on their big board and projected mid to late first rounder last April when the college season was done. Is this not a "rebuild"?

Lol. QB competition who's correct answer is NO. Lol. Spot on indeed!
-
If Matt Rhule came out a long time ago after his 2nd 5 win season and said "Hey, we're working hard, we're preparing hard and I as a coach have to be better as a team, we have to be better," that would be more endearing. Instead he give us bullsh*t. "My kids are so excited to meet Cam" "I can't wait to coach Cam Newton." "It's working."(wtf is "it") "They're buying in." "This is going to be a QB competition." He didn't even allow Corral to be a part of said competition, he cut his actual reps to nothing and he coddled Baker to the "finish line" All bullsh*t. To me, Sam has turned his apple cart over. In totality Sam has put the smack down on Baker in that Baker didn't come in and show himself to be head and shoulders above Sam. I had a pretty good vantage point in person Thursday (maybe too close to Corral for some of your liking) to see Sam move the ball consistently while Baker had trouble, running horizontally and whatnot. I don't think Sam or Baker are starter material in this day and age but Sam ain't going out like a beeeyach. He's making Rhule and his hookup country club mentality look foolish. Go Sam go!
-
Aaaaaaand the offense was exactly the same when Brady was gone, proving he made Brady run his bullsh*t offense in the first place. Aaaaaaaaand he yet again threw somebody under the bus in an interview instead of taking personal responsibility as a leader should do. It's your fault Matt. The bungling on the offensive side of the ball was YOU. The defense? That's Phil Snow. Take responsibility. Even our rookie Young Lion, Golden Boy said any short comings lie within himself and are for him to correct. Immature Rhule blames others.
-
Operation Golden Corral was direct response to the unwillingness of Matt Rhule to develop a QB instead of these every year QB rentals. That's the ONLY reason, Matt Rhules tone deaf incompetence. As you can see Rhules destruction continues as will Operation Golden Corral until Matt Rhule is forced to come to his senses and do what's best for the Panthers instead of himself or fired.

The farther we go, you may be correct. Maybe Corral needs to be protected from Rhule.

We didn't need to trade up to draft Matt Corral for him to be immediately out in the doghouse. Wasted pick. We will be picking high again this next draft without knowing IF Matt Corral translates or not. Then this next draft has a bunch of good looking QBs but we'll pass because we have Corral, who will have yet to have taken an NFL starting snap. I liked Matt Corral before the draft and now to wish he had been drafted by someone else. He doesn't deserve this. He deserves a genuine chance to compete to start.
-
Lol. Honest mistake, I meant Baker. Thx for the correction. Baker, I meant Baker. See... That's being polite.
-
You guys got nothing. You sit here laugh and snicker because I'm not dry like most but you come with nothing.
-
You Matt Rhule/Baker Bros are
-
I never said Sam was 6'0. Reading comprehension is your friend.
-
And, if you've got such a problem we can replay that meeting of huddlers on South Boulevard. I'm just spitting the truth, just like everyone else here.
-
Ok, there's where you missed the joke, Sam is a football midget in terms of play. Him and Baker are among the worst so I'm calling the "midgets" because their both "short" on enough skills to win. Thus Matt Rhule is measuring two of the worst QBs to see which one is taller when they're both "short", incapable of consistent winning. There ya go. Not talking about actual height, but skill.
-
Sam is 6'0, Corral 6'2". A huddler (@snake) came out and said his insiders in the organization say Sam is ahead of Baker. I agree with them, Baker bro. Baker is a failed QB nobody wanted but Matt Rhule the collector of wayward QBs, nobody. Check yourself. Errors.
-
Not at fanfest, I was there, Baker did a lot of running but few completions, not in preseason game one. Arguably Sam had better throws among the limited snaps. Sam was actually moving the ball better. Stop it Baker Bro, Sam and Baker are football midgets. Corral is in Rhules doghouse because he hasn't failed enough like him, Sam and Baker. No winners allowed.
-
Matt Corral has always been a top recruit all the way to April where he was projected to go mid late first round in the NFL draft. Matt Rhule wants to show him what the bench is like, in favor of.....just anybody else. What a complete moron.
-
Matt Rhule coddled Baker all the way through this "competition" and Sam is still steady kicking his ass. No Baker Bros, he hasn't looked better than Sam and for those of us who thought that Baker was a stupid move and wanted chaos in return?! Go Sam go! They're dumb as rocks.
-
It's beyond obvious Matt Rhule needs to go back to college. C'mon Tepper, finally get a clue. Pull your head out of wherever it is and fire this guy for ALL of us. It's over. He's not capable. It's painfully obvious. He's got agenda, that's it. No creativity no imagination. Easily figured out.
-
...but our football IQ's are way faaaaaar apart.
-
OMG! So that means they've figured out nothing. Smh. They're measuring two midgets.
-
And McAdoo, that's who pushed for Corral to be QB1 on their big board.
-
I think more and more people are asking what are they doing with Corral in the media as well as teh huddle. The outcry will become real. Rhule is looking like the Fhule he really is. Matt Rhule is a con man. He told you there was going to be a QB competition: that was a lie. He brought in Cleveland's ham sandwich for the job. Telegraphed it. I'm looking forward to coaching Cam Newton: that was a lie, we saw what he did. We saw this coming already. That's what all the Corral bluster was for, to possibly put pressure on Rhule to take him seriously. We knew he would do this so operation Golden Corral was launched. Instead he did the opposite he put him at the end of the bench and gave him the very least reps like we knew he wanted to do in the first place. Low IQ minds are easy to map. We knew he'd prioritize another washed up QB. I think there must be some kind of mental issue. He keeps doing the exact same thing, failed, failed, failed, doing it again. Stupid is as stupid continues to do.

Favre is not in the building. We aren't in the running for anything. Putting another wayward QB in front of the "future" is just the Fhulishness Cam didn't want to return to. Rhule is probably thinking he'll run a two QB system with Sam and Baker. Everybody knows Rhule is trying to hide Corral. Coddle him. Crush his spirit until he loves donuts.

From day one Matt Rhule has crushed this young man's spirit. Put him forth on the worst depth chart in the NFL and absolutely the fewest reps legally allowed. Matt Corral doesn't have the right coach for him to start this year. This is The Home for Wayward QBs, Matt Rhule prefers guys that have failed in the NFL as a starter already. F'n backwards world. He's telling this young man he's not better than Sam, Baker(two midgets), or PJ? If in April he was projected as a mid to late first round pick, was always a top recruit, 72%,69% completion years in the SEC with a rag tag bunch of scrappiness and with him they won more games than they should have and Matt Rhule, among the worst coaches, by record in the NFL, wants him on the end of the bench in some weird tribal custom. If anything Corral/PJ/that new QB. That should be the real depth chart. We are not competing for the conference championship THIS is the time to develop, instead we're not competing and developing lost QBs instead of the projected 1st rounder we got for a steal. Matt Corral can play. He's didn't make it this far playing like a chump. I think he showed toughness and other bad circumstances he showed toughness. He played the end of the game and didn't lose it. He actually hung tough and got enough penalty yards spinning out of a sack to throw down field. I think he showed heart and great hair despite a coach absolutely hating on you giving as few reps as possible (actions speak louder than words) and great hair.

Very true last night. I saw Sam make more completions. Seemed to me although I was here and there that Sam got most of the reps. Does that mean Sam will start? Tallest midget race. Neither are top NFL QBs. It's almost like, who will do the least worst job.
