Hornets vs Pistons: The return of the Ball
jayboogieman replied to jayboogieman's topic in Charlotte Hornets
The NBA doesn't work that way. See the year Anthony Davis came out when the Hornets had the worst record and ended up taking MKG since they didn't get that first pick as an example. -

Yep. But even if the Hornets had kept the pick and used it on Duren, Cliff wouldn't play him. He would be riding the pine or playing in the G League. -

And that's game. I suppose this was a good tank game, it was competitive for the most part and the Hornets lost it in the end. -

McDaniels had made some nice passes. I didn't think I would say this at any point, but he should have taken more shots tonight. -

Bad play by Rozier. Dribbled the air out of the ball and settled for a bad shot. -

Going to OT. Rozier almost won it with the walkoff shot though. Just didn't fall. -

It's sad that PJ got yanked for a smaller player that was on a couple of 10 day contracts earlier this season. -

Alright. I was wrong. The Hornets still got some fight left in them. Ball fouled out though. Tied 127 with 12 seconds to go. Detroit's ball though. -

Odds are that was the dagger. 1:41 left to go and it seems the Hornets are mostly cold once again. -

Not a fan of using Oubre as the bench scorer. Hornets down 10, 107-97, going into the fourth. -

Nope. NBA does the lottery drawing for draft order. All having the worst record does is give a slightly better odds of getting the first pick. -

73-69 in favor of the Pistons at the half. -

Dell and Eric talking about the past with Dell saying Eric completes him is awesome. -

Hornets down 2 at the end of 1, 35-33. Cliff's rotations still suck. -

Too bad Detroit's PG is out with an injury. Would have been fun to watch him and Ball duel. -

Half of the first quarter is done. Hornets up 15-14 -
Oubre is still shooting everything he can

It's not that he's a great QB. The Huddle just wants to know
-
Easily. Darnold is what he at this point and that is not an NFL starting caliber QB. Use logic, not emotion. Which better be what Fitts/Tepper/whoever the GM ends up running the clown show does when it comes time for new contracts.

Because people will always make that argument as they find the flaws in the current draft eligible QB class regardless of year. At some point you have to pull the trigger and take a chance. If whoever is running the show after this season feels that one of the top 4 QBs in this upcoming draft are worth the pick(s), it's just as good a time as any to take the chance. That's even more true if the new HC wants their own shiny new QB.
