  1. Cody has had a pretty decent game. He's one of those what if guys for me. Just way too many injuries over the years.
  2. Both those guys are probably a year away from being good on a night in and night out basis. Bridges also goes passive way too much.
  3. They've made a game of it in the third. Hopefully they can keep it up and pull out a win.
  4. The only way they could have lost that Washington game was to forfeit it. The Panthers were not good that game, but WFT was worse.
  5. Yeah. I've read he loves to call baseball too, so ESPN would make a lot of sense. Turner just got the NHL. It might be interesting to hear EC call a hockey game too. Hopefully he stays though. He does seem to love working with Dell.
  6. As I was told by a supervisor years ago, "Be a duck. Just let it roll off your back."
  7. Even Lawrence is a maybe. There is no way of telling until they play and that goes for Sam as well despite having NFL experience. I hope they don't take a QB in the second or third either, but they could, especially if they have doubts about Sam and draft a CB or whatever in the first.
  8. Rhule will be here for at least another year. Unless he quits. Brady is a different story. He'll probably get more HC looks since teams want to find the next great young offensive mastermind.
  9. The way people are acting like QBs are worth their weight in gold this year, none of the semi known names are going to last.
  10. And that answer is maybe. We just don't know what they think of Sam. Guess we'll find out tomorrow if a QB falls to them. If they pass of Fields or whoever at 8, take a tackle or whatever or trade back, and then take Mond, Trask, or some other QB in the second or later rounds, this place will explode. For the record, if they don't take one early, I think the Panthers will take a QB in the mid rounds since the GM has stated he likes taking a QB during those rounds to develop.
  11. You won the Tunderdome? Did you lose an eye? If so, did you get an eyepatch and turn the bus into a pirate bus?
  12. No reason not to give Sam the best chance to succeed by drafting an elite tackle prospect to protect him, if there, or an elite WR or TE, if there either. Kicking the tires on Sam this year doesn't mean they can't draft a QB next year if he sucks. Look at the Bucs, Chiefs, and other contending teams. They built the teams before getting the QB. The Panthers can do the same.
  13. If he was good enough to win more games with a bad Jets team, putting a better team around him should mean they don't need to draft a rookie QB highly this year since he should be a lot better with a better team and coaching.
  14. How does Darnold mean you can bring the rookie in slowly or when ready? If Darnold sucks, like most people here seem to think, the desperation to play the rookie as soon as possible will be high. I agree that if Darnold plays well, it'll be a good thing.
  15. The flipside of my statement is that if Darnold doesn't play well and with the way this regime has done QBs, he won't be here long enough to compete with anyone. The only way Darnold has competition this year is if they draft a QB high. Otherwise, the job is Darnold's unless injured.
  16. If they draft a QB at 8, they won't kick the tires on Darnold for long, if at all. The pressure to start the rookie will be too high.
  17. If Darnold plays and proves to be a good starter or franchise guy, any future QB drafted will not be competition just like Grier was never competition for Cam, or Rodgers competition for Favre.
