  1. Yea but Benjamin lazy route running led to Cam messing his shoulder up. That gives him a special place in 1st round pick he'll imo.
  2. That's exactly what is happening in Indy. Front office is saying no, everyone is saying no. Jim Irsay has the final say and he wants Saturday.
  3. Yea that's what won him the job, he came into the second interview and went in depth and said this is who I've already interviewed and will come to charlotte with me.
  4. Was talking about this in the other thread. I think we might know the staff before end of next week.
  5. I'm just telling you what they would want. They did turn down two first and a second from the Rams. It would need to be a current high pick first plus a 2024 first plus another few picks between the drafts for the Panthers to bite and even then they might ask for a third first
  6. Panthers view Burns as the cornerstone of the defense and have him valued at 2 first plus valuation. The first in the current draft would have to be top 10 and theyd want more than just that with out giving anything else up. That's what it will take to get Burns from Carolina. So the Bears #1 pick, plus a 3rd/4th and there 1st in 2024 plud a 4th/5th type of deal. Think Mack to the bears type of trade.
  7. He had already interviewed all of his preferred staff choices prior to interviewing the 2nd time. . Gotta give him credit, he's in point.
  8. Albright and a few others are heavily expecting the Panthers to go sfter Stroud like I was saying yesterday.
  9. I trust that he along with Fitt, Morgan and the scouting department can find a qb for the future of the franchise. I think that qb will be Stroud
  10. I still think Shaw ends up the coach for the Broncos. Flores or Ryan's for Arizona Gannon for Houston Saturday for Indianapolis
  11. His off field stuff combined with ego, mind games and apparently bad interviews everywhere because of the above. Add in his pay and full roster control wishes and that's gonna scare off any sane owner/gm
  12. I've heard he really wanted the Broncos or Panthers jobs. Broncos owners like Paton and didn't want to give him up, definitely the case in Houston. Dunno about Arizona cause that's weird and reeks of desperation on Payton's side. Panthers probably balked at the combination of cost per year plus control after the Rhule debacle. Also the off field concerns with Bounty gate but more importantly the pills. Think he's just being turned down for one reason or another every where he's interviewed
  13. Not sure, would make sense if the team wanting experienced hc at a coordinator spot for anyone Young and first time hc is true...which seems to be the case.
  14. Yea his interview was so good, it almost made Tepper and this search committee back off its experienced HC only mantra they've had since nearly the beginning.
  15. I posted the tweet from quick who is a Panthers beat reporters. Not Breer's tweet.
  16. No meds, Reich was the best option for what they wanted considering what happened with Rhule, this coach wasn't going to be a first timer unless they agreed to the Panthers stipulations. He can definitely win here consistently
  17. Not talking about that tweet. It was talked about days ago by Panther beat reporters, shoot Quick did a dang interview on TV about it.
  18. I cant believe they legit tried to get Reich to agree to OC/assistant HC or Wilks as DC/ assistant HC with the other as the HC.
  19. There's so little leaks coming out of this team and what's leaked has been leaked on purpose. Otherwise it's been as tight lipped as a search could possibly be in the NFL.
  20. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2023/01/19/panthers-espn-report-vic-fangio-dc-young-offensive-hc/ It's from Jeremy Fowler and Graziano
  21. A reply to lady panther from the other thread. The Panthers interviewed/requested interviews with two types of defensive coordinators. Experienced ones and those with really ties to Fitt and Morgan from Seattle. That's the first part, Second part is after the Vic Fangio interview for DC, people thought it was associated with Payton being hired. Then leaks came out that the Panthers wanted to pair Fangio with one of the young OC's. Essentially the Panthers wanted to pick the young OC's defensive coordinator and the DC would pick his defensive staff.
  22. Outside of Moore, the young coordinators that were interviewed flunked or refused to have an experienced HC at one of the coordinator spots. Hence the search went from young coaches to experienced ones only basically. So that left Payton, Reich, Wilks and Caldwell. Payton eliminates himself with a combination of control and mainly off field concerns. Not sure what happened with Caldwell, I've not heard anything about his interview at all. That leaves us with Wilks and Reich with Moore as the only young coordinator left. Since the search turned from a young coach to experienced, it was inevitable that Reich and Wilks would be left since Payton wasn't an option.
  23. Let's be honest, Reich shoulda never been fired from the Colts. The GM and Irsay, sure they shoulda fired themselves instead. That front office is a laughing stock. Arizona's front office from Wilks time was also a laughing stock as well and they did him dirty as is well known.
  24. I hope it wasn't as bad as it's being said it was. Also heard that Dorsey's interview was pretty bad as well but not Steichen bad.
