Canales is not on the hotseat as of right now. If Bryce fails, the plan is for Canales and Morgan to get a QB shot in either the draft or FA.

It's true. Most had him #1 overall or at worst the #1 QB. Only one I can think of that didn't was BR. They had him 16th overall and the third QB. PFF had him #1, NFL advisory board had him #1. Panthers and Texans both had him #1. Dunno how, never got it myself because I had him rated lower than BR did at around 18th and QB #4. I really didn't like him coming out and the reasons why (not his just size, but his processing, happy feet in the pocket and needing to be off schedule to look good) have shown up repeatedly in the NFL so far.

As for who fixed his mechanics... Well that would be Ken Dorsey... Who also worked with Cam Newton from 2013-2017.

With Josh it was about coachability, if he wasn't coachable he wouldn't be in the league right now or he'd be a backup somewhere at best. His throwing mechanics coming out of Wyoming were... Awful to say it nicely. The Bills completely revamped his throwing mechanics from the feet up over a few seasons after he was drafted. (Go look at his throwing motion from draft workouts, year 1, year 2, year 3, and then look at year 4+. His feet placement is different, his hip rotation is different, and his arm motion is different. He was literally revamped as a QB. Yes he had the physical traits but so do a ton of other QB's that are drafted with horrible throwing mechanics.

Not just going off this game, and it's not typically just one players fault...(but he was god awful in this game, saying anything else is having rose colored glasses on tight)

He's thrown over 250 yards 3 times out of 29 games started and 31 games played. His averages are as follows. 175 passing yards per game .87 passing touchdowns per game .67 int per game 17 rushing yards per game .19 rushing touchdowns per game.

I liked Richardson in the draft and still do, but he's got to sit and be on a team willing to work with him and rebuild his throwing motion from the ground up. He was always a project, just like Josh Allen was a project player. The bills suffered through him being awful throwing the ball and set up their system to protect him as best as possible while they rebuilt his throwing motion in pieces.

Bills had a 0.0017% chance to win this game when there was 4m left on the clock.

That's the thing with Josh Allen, it took a while for Buffalo to fix him and his throwing motion. If he's not coachable, he's a bust and out of the NFL in 3 years.

Also he was widely the #1 ranked prospect in that draft.

Trey is the backup QB for SD, Zack Wilson is the backup for Miami. I don't think BY is even a NFL caliber back up.

I would trade Bryce for Trey Lance right now straight up.

He had a ton of red flags while at Alabama. Happy feet, costing himself and his team sacks by always being off schedule or with poor line reads. He was still a small QB with a slight frame, and an adequate arm. You don't draft that first overall in the NFL.

Palmer saved this game for Buffalo if they can come back and win.
