  1. Read it and weep https://www.nfl.com/news/weighing-fifth-year-options-for-2023-nfl-draft-s-first-round-selections
  2. Coker is a stud. Hopefully Bryce will realize that Saturday.
  3. Agreed they are not. The real question is, if he can do it on 4th downs, why isn't he doing it on other downs. Crazy.
  4. To address your comment on him "stepped away from Football", I can see how it would look like he is not dedicated but that first season was pretty brutal. His HC never wanted him, then he was fired so he had to work with an interim coach as well as listen to the 15 other coaching gurus Tepper brought in that year, on what to do. He didn't have any real receivers to work with and half the fans hated him from the get go simply because he was small. That's pretty tough. With his dad being a therapist, I could see him telling Young to simply step away for a bit to get recharged. I realize I may be reading "excuses" in but I have a hard time believing that anyone who has played that position at an extremely high level for all their life, didn't do so without some serious dedication to the craft.
  5. He did well with those anticipation throws when working with AT who was more of a finesse route runner. TMac isn't that yet. I've watched his footwork and his tendency to "jump" when passing. Yeah, I don't think that will ever change simply because he has to do that. Kurt Warner has an episode on Young against the Bucs and he makes the same critiques you are making concerning his footwork. When I watched his film, what I saw was Bryce "jumping" when he had a defender directly in his face - or at least in close proximity to him. When he was throwing through a gap with a clear line of site, his footwork was fine. I would guess he has developed that trait to overcome his height limitations. Kind of like a survival technic. He had to either learn how to work around the height discrepancies or not play. Getting on his toes give's him a couple of inches. I don't think he will ever have "proper" footwork simply because it does not work at his height.
  6. I am not saying that at all. My point is you have a relatively new QB with a relatively new HC. The only veteran presence he had was AT and he lost him at the beginning of the season. He also lost Coker. Young is limited by his physical nature but makes up for it by anticipating routes and throwing receivers to a spot. AT was very good at that. Like Young, he isn't gifted physically but he knew how to find the openings and could be at the spot Young anticipated. That is why they were so good together. I also am not saying AT is better than TMac. TMac is a stud and could wind up being the best receiver the Panthers have ever had. But this is his first year in the NFL and right now he is relying on his physical traits more than experience/knowledge. As he and Young get more experience together, I think you will see his completion % increase and with that you will see Youngs' number improve. Will they ever improve enough to satisfy those around here who don't like him, I doubt it. But I think they could improve enough to be a viable QB for some NFL team, whether here or someplace else. And finally, I strongly disagree with him not being dedicated. Not really sure where that comes from.
  7. AT played the last seven games of the season and out of those seven, Bryce had 5 of his best games for the year. You stated Bryces' best performance was in 24 and he looked more confident then. I agree. He seems to have lost some confidence and performace - he also lost his best receiver and the only receiver with any experience. I can't help but think the two are related. No doubt I am disappointed in his performance this year. He has regressed. I just think the receiving corps he has to work with can explain some of that regression.
  8. Adam Thielen averaged 12.8 yds/rec, 61.5 yds/game and had a catch rate of 77.4% in 24. Tmac has played well and will be a stud but he is just a rookie and while he has good numbers, his catch rate is only 57.4%. Losing Thielen was more of a loss than most people realize. Young's numbers should improve with TMac and Coker getting experience but that will take time which most people around here do not have so he may be gone before that ever happens.
  9. As I have already posted, we will not win if we go in with the same game plan as the last time and agree with everything you said. I just don't understand how the original post addresses any of that. All he did was post numbers illustrating how poor the offense has performed which everyone is already aware of.
  10. But you are right. I shouldn't be here if I don't have anything constructive to say so I am out.
  11. Gotcha. So when can we expect your Defense and Special teams evaluations. Hopefully you can get to that before the weekend.
  12. I didn't start the post - you did. I just questioned why.
  13. Says the person who calls me a "fugin dumbass" and "dipshit" simply because I do not agree with him.
  14. I guess I stand corrected. You are enjoying yourself as you whine about how bad the offense is. Sorry. My bad.
  15. We win the NFC South and you post about how bad the offense is. I'm not argueing that you aren't correct with the numbers. I just don't understand why you can't wait until after the playoffs to bring all of that up. There will be plenty of time in the offseason.
  16. I am not argueing about the facts. They are all correct and there will be plenty of time to bitch about them after the season is over. I just assumed people would want to enjoy the week regardless of how they got there.
  17. The Panthers win the NFC South, and for the first time in 10 years, get to host a playoff game this weekend and there's 3 pages of post trashing Canales and the offense. Crazy.
  18. There you go with the name calling again. I don't know why you keep saying he had two turnovers. He only had the one int. But just for comparisons: Bryce was 24-35 266 yds, 2 TD 1 INT Mayfield was 16-22, 203 yds, 1 TD 1 INT Shough was 23-35, 259yds, 1 TD 1 INT Cousins was 18-32 180 yds, 1 TD 1 INT Guess they all suck. Seriously, I don't know what your obsession with Young is. You know they make medicine for that right.
  19. You were using stats to make Bryce look worse than what he played. I just highlighted those stats were misleading. And his numbers weren't bad even without those two catches. They may not have been great but they were not bad. They are only shitty to the BYHC crowd.
  20. So if Bryce passes 5 balls to Legette and he drops them all, would you guys still come on here and complain about how badly he did. That's basically what the guy posting the numbers did. It was a 17 yrd pass in Legettes hands and the 31 pass to TMac was caught and should have counted. A spokesman from the NFL has pretty much admitted to it. All Bryce can do is pass the ball. If it's a good pass, he should get credit for it, if not, he shouldn't and no the INT was on him. He was bailed out.
  21. True his stats were 16/24 for 174 but if you include Legettes' weekly drop, it increases to 17/24 191. If you include TMacs 31 yrd reception which was negated because of a bogus PI call, he would have been 18/24 222 yrds. That is a 75% comp rate. I know you will say I am cherry picking but he completed both of those passes so he should get credit for them. No TD is a gift in the NFL. He only had 1 TO, the fumble is on Rico. Rico should have never tried the lateral when he slipped and besides, that's who the NFL attributed it to. His longest pass was to TMac ( 31 yards ) - not Rico His biggest play went around 45 yards in the air with two defenders in his face so it may have been underthrown but it was still a great play.
