  1. I think she flaked and got cold feet
  2. I will have to re-read my post But I think I am agreeing with your assessment. I was trying to anyway ETA: I think I get it. Why have the bench trial. I think they thought it would not even get past that point. Even with a female judge. I was shocked he was found guilty, even if judge was a female
  3. Someone make sure Frank Alexander doesn't get high anymore. We are going to need that dude
  4. Exactly how DA and prosecutors want you to feel so it doesn't look like they just wasted everyone's time
  5. Based on the evidence and what was presented in court I don't think they believed anyone in their right mind, activist or not, would have found him guilty
  6. You are never, ever found innocent. You are innocent. You have to be proven guilty.
  7. All these "sources" about a settlement. I bet $100 these are coming from DA
  8. The way that I understand it, her legal team doesn't even know if there was a settlement. No one has talked to her. They are trying to save face
  9. Keep in mind the state is claiming there was a settlement. They are the ones with egg on their face. No knows for sure if there was a settlement at all. She may have just bounced out of town because she was about to look foolish
  10. She was not going to likely win anyway.
  11. Sorry Scot but I disagree. There may be 3 players on our roster that can do what he does collectively, but no one player. Guys like Hardy are hard to find. He is good against the run, he can line up in the interior, he can defend both RB and QB on the read option, he can chase down runners, he can drop into coverage, etc. Oh, and he can single handedly dominate games with 3 or 4 sacks and get you 15 over a season. And he is only one year older than Cam Newton. Meaning, he is just entering his prime. We can still be good without him, but we are better with him. He will not be easily replaced
  12. Is the "wrong way" doing good by and doing what is best for a player or bending to media demands even if they don't have all the information? I don't think anyone is saying go and recruit the federal penitentiaries for football players. But at the same time, what if a player is unfairly scrutinized or accused of actions that are either untrue or sensationalized? Ray Lewis may have murdered some guys. He has a statue, a Super Bowl ring, and a great job as an analyst on ESPN. Then again, ESPN is one of the entities tooting the horn of Panthers tone deafness because we kept Greg Hardy on our active roster. I am resigned to the fact that Hardy is done here. We will be okay. But just because someone makes up an accusation against you doesn't mean you can no longer win with a player you respect.
  13. Most figured this would be the case. Our defense will be weaker because of it, but we also have other holes to fill and big extensions on the docket I just hope he doesn't end up in the NFCS
  14. Local bar owners slut shaming this girl like in that TMZ article only makes this whole thing worse.
  15. Man... The Huddler is forgetting about the Panthermafia omerta pledge.
  16. One of them was for punching a cop and was a similar level misdemeanor as Hardy. Of course it was just a big misunderstanding
  17. That is a hard question for me to answer because I have been arrested twice.
  18. Well... if we only employ guys who date proper women and/or don't participate on social media we might have a hard time fielding a team
  19. Was he been suspended often before this? Why would they feel that way? He played the first game so Panthers didn't even feel the need to suspend him this time
  20. The first paragraph is exactly why I have said it worries me about Gettleman if we ever have a new coaching search. Hopefully we keep winning NFCS championships and don't have to worry about it
  21. She could be one of those girls that looks really, really hot at the club, then the next morning once daylight hits her and beer goggles wear off you realize she is really about a 3 or 4. I have been fooled more than once by the dark lights of the club + copious amounts of alcohol
  22. I don't think Hardy is coming back personally. And that is a big blow to our defense We have several DEs who collectively may be able to do some of the things he can do. But no one can do all the things he was asked to do like drop into coverage, play inside, effectively defend both QB and RB on the read option, set the edge and explode for TFLS against the run. And none of those things are the obvious 15 sacks he can give us. As a group we may have 3 guys who can do those things but not any one who can do all those things. We will be fine, but let's not act like losing Hardy is no big whoop. He was our best DE in just about every facet. As to Voth's article. Maybe it is just me, but if I was found not guilty I would be asking for an apology not giving them, and no way in hell I would give any money back. He was plastered as a poster child of NFL domestic abuse and was lumped in with Ray Rice who punched his girlfriend in the face on camera. If I didn't think I did anything wrong and was found not guilty I would be asking for retractions and apologies from Goodell and media at large. Maybe that is just me though. Having said that, I think he is gone no matter the verdict.
  23. Yes we do. We will survive without him, but he can do things athletically that no one else on this roster can do. Our defense can be good without him, but would be great with him
