Kinda have to agree with you here, stupid IMO. Cade Mays should have the job just so we get a full year of continuity... not to mention he actually performed better.
-
Might call it an advantage or maybe not??
PantherChris replied to Doc LRB's topic in Carolina Panthers
If he was a TE or a WR it would definitely be an advantage.... although he'd need custom gloves lol. As a LB ehhh -
Im taking a wait and see attitude,CRA is taking a panic mode make things up about our opponents the world is falling take lol
-
Now you are just talking out of your butt dude they were 14th last year on a down year for them #1 overall in 2023..... and they rested 4 starters sooo not all scrubs. Just admit your a masochist fan who enjoys misery, don't try to make sh*t up to try and make everyone as faux enraged as you are.
-
Lol for some of the knee jerks no doubt..... If either get 5+ sacks this year I'll be happy, measured expections.
-
That's just from memory bub, and considering how awful we have been for 7 years that aren't memorable in any way... its basically 5 years lol. In 2015 people were melting down about the offensive line swearing cam would be on IR by week 5. And I completely agree, the saying is Rome wasn't built in a day and all. Like I've said my expectations for this year aren't grandiose or crazy with homerism I want a watchable/entertaining offense.... If our defense could get up to about #22 overall I would be extatic.... I have zero expectations on that side of the ball.
-
Knowing this board by week three they will both be busts... even though everyone knows Pass rushers and Dline take 3 years to adjust to the NFL
-
Yawn and it still doesn't matter recency bias is just letting you get low hanging fruit with "i told you soooo"
-
Lol This argument has been a lot longer than that.... its every year BTW not hard to predict it somehow matters when we suck, its been seven years of suckitude, low hanging fruit to try and act like it was a bold prediction and "I told you sooooo!" Heck back during the 2013 pre season this place was up in arms about the last ranked "run defense" we had during the pre season.... Finished #1 in run defense
-
There was until 2021 there used to be 4 games too lol
-
I think recency bias is affecting you on this.... We were usually 2-2 to 3-1 under Foxy and Ron in pretty much every pre season.. and it didnt correlate to how we did in the regular season pretty much at all, heck I remember the panic over the run defense in the 2013 pre season... #1 run d in the regular. Individual performances are all you can really evaluate in the pre season and even those can be skewed by missed assignments on the lines. We have been pretty much unwatchable for 3 years.... I'm going to be thrilled this year if we have a watchable offense... anything else is icing on the cake.
-
Pre season aren't real games the teams aren't trying to win.... (dont believe me check out teams kneeling instead of attempting *game* tying chipshots so they avoid OT) they are even less meaningful when you have had joint practices all week.
-
Pooed one post because being knee jerk doomer about a pre season game were the players who will actually be doing the playing when It matters on a professional sports team that has been awful the past few seven years, actually looked like they picked up were we left off making progress and left the game up 7-0. Pre season is a glorified warm up action designed to knock off rust and evaluate depth.... which anyone who knows our team knows our team knows that our depth is god awful!!! OUR so called "professional" teams defense was the worst In NFL HISTORY last year and expectations for anyone rational on that side should be very very very low. Expecting low end depth players and UDRFA camp bodies from the aforementioned worst DEFENSE IN NFL HISTORY not to allow 30+ points is what's irrational.

4th string is a misnomer when the Browns have 5 mid backup QBs and no defined pecking order among them.
-
Literally did not matter, and Literally is not news that our depth sucks, Browns scored 0 on the starters, and our starters probably score on both drives if not for a scub guard playing for Lewis blowing his assignment on third and short. Health will be key.

Panthers playbook Cox and Rhea review of the game
PantherChris replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I agree, about that but mostly for Bryce and the offensive line outside of one play both looked sharp Bryce had excellent command patience and vision very much looking as he did at the end of last year that's what I need to see consistently. -

The Browns didnt rest all of their starters on defense let that fallacy drop... much the same way we did they just rested their irreplaceable defenders, it was 7 starters and 4 second stringers, that our ones faced on both drives not 2nd and 3rd stringers. Play action middle depth routes seemed to be the focus last night, when they were on the field. Apart from on bad pass rep (were we don't know the assignments but Jake and Smitty both seem to believe the scrub Carter blew his assignment) and a slightly under thrown dump off route Bryce had to take on his third read, they moved the ball at will vs them and scored a TD. -
Cherelus down. We need to be talking about LBs even more

At his age only a band aid but that is ABSOLUTELY a call that should be made... -

This ^^^^ nothing to wig over or prentend it was perfect.... Did what they were supposed too, as far as YAC goes without Renfrow playing we don't really have any true "creators" go for YAC without running designed YAC plays (which we didn't) -
Literally as you made this post he was practicing... but yeah hes a monster
-
It's a preseason game, but...losing is not an option.
PantherChris replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
Like fine wine this one aged it did! -
Dalton yeah no excuse for how bad he was... Christenson I give a bit of a pass he was playing down on the 3rd string with scrubs not a great look but we don't know what assignments were. The Run D..... I'm completely reserving judgement when it was the starters no Brown, Wharton at nose tackle... setting the edge on outside runs is always more difficult in a 3-4 like to see improvement here though.

Oooof egg face lmfao the last play offensive play i watched was the TMAC "drop" for some reason I saw i thought he said Mike and was comparing their hands

Yea i was sore we lost him too I remember everyone wigging but the length of the deal and the $$ just screamed of a guy betting on himself and trying to maximize his skills set were he played (which wash has) -
Obviously no brown or horn but still most points allowed in NFL history.... People's expectations shouldn't be for a good defense the ceiling for them should be hoping we can rank 24th overall
