  1. The defense that accounts for 27% of the cap.... and we all know doesn't have an edge rusher.... right.
  2. Dude your 1C crap is stupid..... Aho isn't a top 10 Center but he is absolutely a 1C..... somewhere around the Point/Larkin level 13th-17th best.... with the current amount of NHL teams most teams are lucky to have one C in the top 40..... 2C I agree with.... 100% preferably a guy with grit and playmaking ability. There absolutely isn't anyone close to being available better than Aho....
  3. This while he didn't single handily LOSE the game on any one play..... He was a first overall pick, one we paid a fortune for..... the bar for him is a 10 foot dunk not a 5"8 children's rim. 32 for 49 for 287 with 1 td and 1 int in two games vs the worst team in the conference, two critically important games that we would be 9-5 and competing for the #2 if he had led us to victory.... Ive given him props for the TD to tet.... it was the best pass ive ever seen him make..... But putting up these kind of numbers isn't up to par. Defenses stack the box and dare him to throw.... and he still puts up medicore at best numbers. To win with Bryce young the entire rest of the team has to be absolutely perfect to make up for his deficiencies.... so while he didn't "lose" this game for us..... HE DEFFINATLY DIDNT GO WIN IT FOR US. (Which is the REALISTIC EXPECTATION)
  4. Same thing i thought when I saw the x first..... If he steps up hes on the X here and Young gets washed down/out were the arrow goes.... Im also not even gonna mention he had 15 yards of green grass to run if he steps up to the same spot because the saints completely blew containment.
  5. He threw for 163 yards (32 of which i will say was on the best pass ive ever seen him make) vs a constant 9 and 10 man box..... all they had to do was stack the box and play zone. A quarterback who has to have everything play out perfectly to succeed is a ball and chain.
  6. I have no actual hope of this happening but if the panthers continue their win one lose one trend we will win the division
  7. Exactly, honestly with a QB who is actually tall enough to see and step up I'd bet our opinions of the pass protection would be much different this sack looked almost exactly like the vast majority of the pressures and sacks hes taken this year..... available pocket no step up/rolls out unnecessarily BEHIND the tackles..
  8. Tackles usually aren't when a QB is constantly dropping BEHIND them and not utilizing the interior pocket.
  9. Im saying its arguable to even credit that sack too the offensive line for all we hate pff thats one coaches and most analysts will put squarely on bryce.
  10. Ickey was beat to the outside from the get go.... he saw that and should have climbed the pocket period.... super processor at work.
  11. While true it doesn't change the fact that Lewis is 6-2 Mayes is 6-6 and Corbett is 6-4
  12. Playing offensive tackle isn't about winning the snap its about losing as slowly as possible if they are going to get beat you WANT it to be 9 yards yards behind the LOS and to the outside..... He didnt step up because hes 5'8 and needs to be 10 yards behind the line to see
  13. @45catfan the bryce stan is trying to say the double team on the other side "failed" and he was surrounded lmfao yea he was becaus he didnt step up in the completly clean pocket..... this is pass blocking 101 if the qb is 9 yards behind the LOS when hes sacked with zero interior push its on the qb because if he steps up both DEs get washed out and he has a full four seconds to throw....
  14. He was sacked for a NINE yard loss on a play were he was stationary when sacked.... with a completely clean interior pocket thats inexcusable....
  15. Your high.... the "double team" didnt fail on the other side if he steps up in the pocket when hes supposed too 2 seconds before you still the double team washes them out and so does ickey.... but no he dropped BACK three YARDS BEHIND BOTH TACKLES. Probably didnt step up because his midget ass cant see over the line if he does.
  16. Look at the completly clean pocket he has to climb!!! Ickey got "beat" in a way any tackle will hes dropped completely behind both tackles with ZERO interior pressure
  17. Not only is dowdle open but the midget literally dropped completly back behind the protection when he had a completely clean pocket to climb dowdle wide ass open and although it wasnt a great snap by ickey if Bryce climbs the pocket this is a play were he has 5+ seconds to throw
  18. Ahhhh tell me you dont know hockey, its more akin to lacrosse on ice.. . Way way way more physical and fast paced
  19. Oooof @LinvilleGorge can you move this to the canes forum? I had two tabs open and the saved this as a draft accidentally posted in the wrong tab
  20. Disagree look at the Stills yea he got beat but Bryce kept dropping instead of climbing a completly clean inside pocket....
  21. Despite missing half of their D corps for the majority of the season so far the Canes hold the best record in the easter conference.... Jaccob Slavin finally made his return, BRANDON BUSSI HAS BEEN PHENOMENAL Seth Jarvis is pacing on being our first 45+ goal scorer since Jordan Staal, Elhers has broken out of the new team slump (nearly PPG after taking six games to get his first) NIKISHIN is pacing an 11 goal 40 point rookie season with just third pairing minutes. Our HOME/ROAD SPLITS have reset from last year and we actually have a slightly better road record than home with one less loss. Honestly as long as one of Freddie/kooch can get their head out of their asses, things look great this season.
  22. Slavin played lol and was bored because rod only gave him 15 mins
  23. A franchise QB and an elite pass rusher and even with the weakness at ILB legit would be the best in the nfc, good offensive line, good weapons and backs, blue chip dline and secondary players... The complete lack of a pass rush and an edge defender who can actually rush the passer kill this team
  24. Since I know we are stuck with Bryce my hope is that in the off season we get a real edge rusher and or ILB... its also confused the crap at me that we haven't gotten a legit receiving TE since Olsen.
