  1. Not only is he balling out tonight, he has been balling this season. Oh well... @Basbear, cheers for thinking outside of the box.
  2. I mean, you guys can be satisfied all you want. The two teams that we have beaten have helped us win to varying degrees. I'm not going to be fooled again by hollow wins. We haven't actually beaten a decent team in years. If we actually beat a good team, then perhaps we'll have something legitimate to get hopeful about, but even then we have to string some quality wins together.
  3. Well, all I know is that 32 teams are subscribed to PFF, but who knows, maybe they reference it for sh¡ts and giggles.
  4. Dud: DC Ejiro Evero "The Panthers defense had some bright spots this week, but still too many weaknesses - and there's been no effort at all to change things up and minimize them. Apparently since head coach Dave Canales has no control over this defense, the blame has to fall on defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, who should have yanked Trevin Wallace, Christian Rozeboom and Nick Scott weeks ago." Dud: HC Dave Canales "There are plenty of little problems that are worth criticizing Canales for. The operation on offense is stll far too messy in general there are too many pre-snap penalties especially. When it comes to lineup decisions, there are plenty of players getting time they don't deserve - DeeJay Dallas was added to the list this week. Then there's how Canales is misusing his talents - like having Jimmy Horn Jr. function as a jet-sweep-only kind of weapon. Worst of all was the lack of passion that Canales showed in the third quarter when he officials made an egregious reversal that cost his team a huge first down. Tetairoa McMillan was mauled by Jack Jones as he tried to reel in a deep catch, and initially they threw a flag but then withdrew it. Canales' reaction was far too understated considering the situation, and it speaks once again to the lack of urgency in his coaching. The comeback win is nice, but the Panthers deserve someone who's going to get angry when that happens, and Canales just doesn't seem to have it in his DNA. (Scroll down)https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/carolina-panthers-miami-dolphins-studs-duds-bryce-young-rico-dowdle-dave-canales I agree with most everything that was said, by the way. From Bryce's turnovers and lack of production, to making Scourton and Umanmielen the starters at outside linebacker. I don't know who we'd put in for Rozeboom though. He's likely our best option at MLB until next season. It's good to get a win, but we need more consistency with getting the players, whether they're rookies or not, that give us the best chance to win the games in the damned games. You can take it all with a grain of salt. I'm no fan of Young or Evero, and highly skeptical of Canales, and it seems that Tim Weaver feels the same way.
  5. I mean, it's not a simple grading system, and it's surely not as simple as, "He ran for 200 yards, so he gets a 100." Come on, guys...PFF isn't going to share the specifics of their special sauce, but they give you an idea. "Rushing success is often determined by a rusher’s run blocking, play calling, and the quality of the defense, so there are plenty of times where a player’s grade will not match up perfectly with his statistics. Our goal is to isolate the running back’s contribution to that production, and the runners with the highest grades are those who produce above expectation and outside what the run blocking or scheme allows." https://www.pff.com/news/pro-how-pff-grades-running-backs
  6. You took the thought right out of my head. We're a broken-winged offense.
  7. I didn't know they played in that. Now I'll watch it this holiday season.
  8. If Bernie came up to him, it would be an amazing miracle.
  9. I don't believe Horn shadowed anyone. He played his regular defense from what I saw.
  10. He may be a magician, but he ain't God.
  11. I ain't doing anything except eating the leftover honey mustard chicken wrap from Cook Out. Later on, it's likely Cook Out (again) or Subway. If we go healthy, it will be Subway. Cook Out makes hot dogs (add chili and onions) to die fir, and their Cajun Sandwich, Cajun fries and tea are delicious as well. Their trays are the best value in fast food. Man, I shared their pumpkin spice milkshake with my wife last night, and it was good.
  12. He has the swag, I'll give him that. If his game actually becomes equal to his swag, then maybe.
  13. Could be a name for a strip joint, or maybe that's just my creative mind running overtime.
  14. Well for me, that's the worst thing. We had an opportunity to bring in Daniel Jones or a Mac Jones (for example), and we didn't even do it. We probably would've fúcked it up, but still. Fitterer is gone. Ron is gone. We need to get to a point where "competition" is more than rhetoric. We need to stop giving vets undue preferential treatment, stop draft position bias, and just play the better players.
  15. I mean, he really hasn't done all that much to be a distraction. Has he been perfect? No. But he hasn't done much. Really. When I started researching it, I was expecting all this "stuff," but the worse thing that he has done, which is not directly related to football (so not really what we are talking about) is speeding. As far as football-related antics, there's not a whole lot there since he's become a pro. A lot of it is just speculation (like Rex Ryan's recent criticism) that may be based upon something or nothing at all.
  16. I hear Huddlers throwing things similar about Sanders whenever his name comes up, but to put it bluntly, we don't know that to be true. What we do know is that plenty of Browns fans thought that Sanders had the best camp out of the bunch, notwithstanding not being given the opportunity to play with the ones. What has been reported is that Dillon Gabriel is Stefanski's guy, and Andrew Berry thought that Sanders should be prioritized (even if it meant that he would eventually trade Sanders due to Sanders having more value). The fact that many Browns fans preferred (and prefer now) Sanders, and that there was a split---or difference of opinion between Stefanski and Berry, isn't really up for debate. It's true. What this all means, at the end of the day, is that we don't know how Sanders compares to Hooker or anyone else because he really hasn't had an opportunity to play for whatever reasons.
  17. To be fair, Tepper wanted Stafford, but he rightly chose to go to the Rams.
  18. Piniero with the 59 yarder. What in the blazes? Looked like it had a few yards to spare too.
  19. Honestly, I don't want to see Dalton either (though I know it has to happen), but I'm Bryced out. As a Panthers fan, I've seen enough of him for a lifetime. I say get Double H up to speed, see what he has in a Panthers uniform (if anything), and ultimately plan to draft 9's replacement in April.
  20. Man, we're past that now. We missed the boat. We crapped out. Only people like "sunshiny" Dave Canales can't see it, don't want to see it, or just don't want to admit it in public for whatever reasons. Maybe the Teppers are suffering from escalation commitment or the sunk-cost fallacy and have their employees mouths on lock. Whatever and whoever is to blame, I hope that the Bryce experience culminates in him being benched and traded sooner rather than later. Evero can go fly a kite too.
  21. I mean, I was going to ask if there are any Bryce fans left, but...I guess there's always one.
  22. Yeah, Bryce's improvement from his first year has been marginal at best.
