Yeah he wants to build the stadium with Private funds but where is the money going to come from for the necessary "Revitalization" that the City will need to accommodate a facility like that.

I will tell you who, People like me- state funds- tax dollars

And I say F*ccckkkkkkkkkk Y*ouuuuuuu :dita:

Damn

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had loudspeakers providing crowd noise when their first-string offense worked this week.

They apparently missed the memo that their game against the Jaguars on Saturday night is the beginning of what might be the Jaguars’ blackout season.

The Jaguars play the first of 10 home games this year Saturday night — two in the preseason and eight in the regular season — and the team has already announced all 10 will be blacked out on TV because of a lack of ticket sales.

This will be the first time in their 15-year history that they’ve blacked out all 10 games and the stadium might be only, about half-filled Saturday night. Crowd noise probably won’t be a problem for the Bucs.

Fred Taylor says Jags better off in LA

This was being talked about on St. Louis sports radio recently. They suggested putting LA in the NFC West, and the Rams going to the AFC South.

Last couple months the city of San Diego and the Chargers have been playing nice about building a downtown stadiuim.

Now the Bolts dropped the bomb about needing Public tax dollar assistance. I still think the Bolts have a good chance of winding up in LA.

For nearly seven years, the San Diego Chargers have said they would build a new stadium without taxpayer money. Now, they’re calling an audible.

“It’s almost certainly going to involve some sort of taxpayer money,” Chargers special counsel Mark Fabiani, head of a stadium search since 2002, said yesterday.

The shift is significant for the team, which has continually expressed a desire to finance stadium construction privately and acknowledged via Fabiani the difficulty of getting public support for any kind of taxpayer subsidy.

Fabiani and Jim Steeg, the Chargers’ executive vice president and chief operating officer, were in Rancho Bernardo yesterday to address a forum of the San Diego North Chamber of Commerce at Sony headquarters. Steeg touted the team’s value while Fabiani talked of a new stadium.

Mayor Jerry Sanders has long said he would oppose using public funds toward construction of a new stadium but has stayed quiet on the topic lately. He declined an interview request through a spokesman yesterday

I thought the Jags had a lease agreement that was holding them in Jacksonville, despite the fact that they're basically the Megaton Jaguars.

Seems like the economy would be an obstacle for someone wanting to tank that giant mountain of a problem.

    • I don't think Dave touches the defense. That might be a mark against him but definitely a huge red flag for evero. He refuses to run anything other than soft zone and when you don't get pressure that's an awful scheme
    • You don't have to convince me. I think not picking up the option should absolutely be firmly on the table but I just do not see Tepper and Morgan doing that for previously stated reasons. Therefore I'm not going to bother entertaining the notion. Just hoping we actually get real viable competition. If that doesn't happen at the minimum then my perception of that is complete and utter professional malpractice.
    • It was absolutely a catch, and I can’t believe how many folks were stating, before the NFL’s apology, that the overturn was the right call.  The ultimate question in this case is this: can a player complete a catch with only one hand? Of course, we all know the answer to that question, and it is an emphatic “Yes.” T-Mac maintained complete control with one hand (believe it was the right) while the other came off when the ball hit the ground. The ball was in the same position in the one hand (watch T-Mac’s fingers in relation to the NFL shield on the ball) after touching the ground as it was when it first went to the ground. Going back to the question above, if one hand can establish control, then there was no need for the other to stay on the ball, so long as the ball doesn’t move in that one hand that stays on it   It blew my mind that they overturned this in the first place. This should not be a “We got it wrong on the replay because there wasn’t clear and convincing evidence.” This should have been, “That was absolutely a catch.”
