Biyombo is an elite defender and rebounder. He also gives 100% every night and has a great work ethic. His offense is bad but it is getting better every year.

He can be an elite Center, key piece to a championship team, without ever being an offensive player. I.E. Ben Wallace

MKG is better than Gerald Wallace. He's also a franchise player at age 21. Charlotte's w/l record and defense rating with/without him is all the proof you need.

Biyumbo is not an elite defender, he just looks like it after watching Jefferson stink it up for his minutes. Go back and watch the last Pistons game, he routinely was out of position and giving up lob passes to Drummond. He is above average defensively and horrific offensively. I'm fine with re-signing him, but we need a long term answer at center.

According to all of the advanced metrics and analytics, Bismack Biyombo was the #1 rim protector in the entire NBA last season.

He also played somewhere around 20 minutes per game against backups. Context and sample size are always good when using stats.
