It's a must-end for Panthers' preseason

(By Scott Fowler, [email protected]) There is a limit on the number of times a team can use ldquo; It's only an exhibitionrdquo; as an excuse. The Carolina Panthers reached that limit late in the first quarter in Thursday night's 21-10 home exhibition loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, which closed an inglorious and winless preseason.p/By that time, the Panthers had already allowed an 80-yard punt return straight up the middle and a 10-yard touchdown run by a third-string Pittsburgh running back in which the guy bounced off or ran through half the Panthers defense.

    • Yeah this is a crazy season. Granted it could end up any way and we are only about halfway through but somehow we keep winning. I mean we have had injuries galore. Our offensive line has probably been injured every game and some are done with the season and yet we hold back Parsons, only give up 1 sack and run for over 100 yards. Our QB play is horrible yet Bryce seems to always be able to give us a GW drive. Our defense sucks and can’t get a sack yet was able to play well enough to not allow over 300 yards passing or many points. It’s like the teams we are playing are just giving up when they play us.
    • Im pretty sure we are going to be underdogs until we have a real threat behind center. But I like taking the bullies girl when he's not looking.
    • Acting as if QB doesn't matter is absurd. That's the first game this season Tee Higgins has reached 100 receiving yards BTW. He's been averaging 40ish yards a game with the QB's he had been playing with.
