Wonder what the % is of teams that went 0-4 in the preason and then 0-2 to start the season. Significantly smaller sample, I imagine.

I'll be pretty shocked if we make the playoffs, unfortunately. I thought we were totally outclassed today -- like, Ryan moved the ball downfield completely at will, and meanwhile every completion or big run we made involved some spectacular catch or stiffarm or bit of luck. I was ready to toss the Philly game out as an aberration, but it's looking pretty clear that this team just isn't very good. I think we're pretty lucky to have kept this game close.

Still love this team and hope they find away, but it would be a miracle of miracles to win 10 of the next 14 games.

    • I will give you this: the signings of Phillips and Lloyd pretty much mirror the signings of the guards in 2024. So they are kind of a wash.    But you look at the draft picks invested it is lopsided towards the offense. And when you do that make sure to count every pick that was used for our franchise QB. And DJ Moore needs to count as something too.     You add that haul in with the picks we had left that went for offense, the defense is still the red headed stepchild and deserves some day one attention.  edit: due to the OL crisis that we are just starting to go through, if the right left tackle falls I think you have to bite the bullet and do your duty, but we may be able to address it as a right tackle issue on day two. If we do not address either tackle position at all it will be dereliction of duty.  IMO.
    • Didn't know where to post this but it is panthers relevant since eventually we'll have a couple wr in Coker and tmac that will get paid. Jaxon Smith-njigba just signed a 4 year $168.6 million contract extension that now makes him the highest paid wr in nfl history. For now
    • Would be happy with Lomu or Iheanachor at 19. Fano is intriguing but I don't think he makes it.
