I feel sick

This loss hurt and I've got a stir in my stomach. I'm pretty bummed but I'm not going to worry. I'll complain and bitch and cry havok if we lose to the Saints. We have a chance to prove we're the best this division has to offer on Sunday. For now I'll hold onto the thought that the Panthers can still secure a 2nd seed and still potentially have homefield throughout the playoffs.

It was a heartbreaking game, but it was well fought and what was expected with no DTs occured. We gave better than I thought we would in a losing effort. I figured we'd either win or get crushed. We lost in the best game of the year and everyone knows the Panthers are still for real.

GO PANTHERS!

the team put up a Heckva fight given the circumstances. We played the best team in the NFL, at their place, coming off two straight losses, and we were just a stiff wind away from walking out of their place with the win. I'm not too bummed.

At least we are in the playoffs, and have a shot at winning a title.

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
