5 Points to consider

So firstly I do not condone the way the team is playing however here are 5 things to consider to give context

1 The elephant in the room, missing three key pieces and two veteran players our game plan has been vastly altered these past games, a tough ask for many teams but especially a young and building one

2 while Sams play at times is indefensible the simple fact is that our interior line makes us an easy target, given that it was also the problem with his last line in NY shows a glaring weakness of his that may just be his personal kryptonite, and that is stunts, games and interior rush in general, unsurprising given his athleticism not being necessarily elite, the result is regression until it’s fixed

3 While the giants are a bad team, I do not think the eagles or the Vikings were as bad as we thought, and while upsetting, it should be comforting that the bucs also struggled with one of those teams, and the other will likely win today.

4 While we did perform ahead of schedule early, I doubt the panthers brass were taken completely unaware that this may not quite be our year just yet , but despite that they have been aggressive and proactive, which is a refreshing change from the old regime, besides we still don’t know who this team is just yet.

5 given our current record, it may be much easier to take another cornerstone talent at any position including QB, in the coming draft ether through trade or standing pat, thus speeding along the rebuild.

All that said, there is still cause to be cautiously optimistic for the future of the team, and while a loss or close win against a bad team may sting, we are likely ok. Thanks for reading everyone

Bull. Giants are down a bunch of starters too. This is the ghost of bad teams past, bringing unpleasant flashbacks to the Clausen days. This is unwatchable garbage.

I realize that you feel that way and that the giants are indeed bad, but again look at the other teams we have played, we have a few very exploitable weaknesses that just aren’t quick fixes, it’s gonna take some time for sure but it’s not as bad as it seems.

    • You're right. And he's been on the upswing, something that's been a long time coming. And over the last few years, we woulda been better with a Trent Dilfer out there considering everything.  But right now, we got a W following a W the week before. It has been a while since we've been there. And we're at .500. I know that's only a C grade right now, but man, after so many F grades in a row... it's kinda refreshing to be here. Is Bryce a long term answer here? He's still got a long way to go. Could he do it? Those three touchdown passes he made were bang on, high performance throws. And they finally game planned him pushing the ball down field. It was against a weak Dallas defense, but at least they were running a game based on attacking weaknesses of the defense rather than covering the weaknesses of our own team. Maybe both Canales and Young are maturing before our eyes.
    • No, he got beat at home by Michigan this year.  The other five wins are against Big Ten and Non-Power bottom feeders.  He's 0-7 vs ranked teams, and each year Nebraska has started strong and then faded in conference play.  Nebraska is 1-7 in two Novembers under Rhule.  This year their November slate is USC, @UCLA, @Penn State and Iowa.  Very possible they lose all of those games.  His tenure at Nebraska is looking very Baylor-esque.  And somehow he's still a front runner for the Penn State job.  Which would be ironic since they just ran a very Matt Rhule like (as far as can't beat any good teams) James Franklin out of town.
    • GWDs vs... HOU: 15 - 13, no turnovers ATL: 9 - 7, no turnovers NO: 23 - 22, 1 interception NYG: 20 - 17, no turnovers ARI: 36 - 30, no turnovers @ATL: 44 - 38, no turnovers MIA: 27 - 24, 1 interception + 1 fumble DAL: 30 - 27, 1 interception (that was clearly TMac's fault) Which one of those games was Bryce clearly the reason that the team was behind aside from Miami?
