Sorry for all the fragments. I'm listening as I type...not trying to miss anything. If something is unclear then just ask.

Q: thoughts on last months play

A: surrounded by guys doing a great job, winning is the ultimate goal

Q: how were the gmen buried

A: d set the tone. fired on all cylinders. executed the game plan

Q: did you get the sense the gmen weren't prepared

A: the wind was taken from their sales early

Q: what makes john so good

A: stewy is quite, but runs angry and doesn't shy away from anything

Q: surprised at the O inconsistency

A: yes. turnovers hurt early on, but that isn't one person's fault

Q: possibility of starting next year

A: in the back of my mind as I am focused on next week. i'm gonna wait and see

Q: what does the opportunity and making the most of it mean

A: basically says its a dream come true, and he hopes to go higher

Q: key to beat the saints

A: sustain drives and keep them off the field. imagines a heavy dose of the run, and following the blueprint from past weeks

Q: smith's injury

A: its a big hit. knows nothing more than the surgery happened.

Q: fox's job status

A: doesn't think that next week will be fox's last game to coach for the panthers

Q: how have you protected the ball so well

A: get the ball out quick, and trust your eyes and feet. take what is there/seen

Here is a quick transcript of the interview. I had to paraphrase a lot due to my slow ass typing though.

Rich Gannon: RG

Matt Moore: MM

RG: You've been playing really good football, you're 3-1 as a starter, thoughts on how you played

MM: Good things and bad things, I think the guys around me are doing a good job and making things easy, everyone talks about stats but winning is whats important

RG: How did you bury the giants?

MM: Defense set the tone early, we were firing on all cylinders getting turnovers and executing the game plan.

RG Your sense that the Giants weren't prepared and got dominated physically

MM I think thats what happened, the wind came out of their sails early, and our running game was superb. They were frustrated defensively, stewie ran downhill and we were playing fast

RG: What makes Stewart so good?

MM: He's great, his attitude is quiet, but he runs angry. He's a smart player and pleasure to play with

RG With all the playmakers on your team are you surprised the offense wasn't more consistent?

MM The turnovers really hurt us this year, we didn't carry out the details early in the season, the turnovers fall on everyone's shoulders.

RG: When you look at how you've played and what was at stake for the teams you've played what goes through your mind when you think about your performance?

MM We have enough to worry about without thinking about the other teams stakes, Fox does a good job of telling us that, I just try to spread the ball around and have fun.

RG You're focused on finishing strong are you thinking about being next years starter?

MM: I'm focused on next week and finishing strong, we'll worry about that stuff next year or this off season, I'm just trying to succeed and put up wins

RG: What does it mean for a guy like you with your experience with the draft and being cut in camp?

MM This has been a dream of mine since a kid and I'm trying to take advantage of my shot. Trying to be the best I can be and hopefully keep improving

RG: Whats the key to beating the saints?

MM: Gotta sustain drives, they have a powerful offense, we need to score points in the red zone, if we follow the gameplan of the past few weeks we'll be fine.

RG: Steve Smith

MM: He had surgery this morning, its a bummer, he's explosive, you can just throw Smitty a 2 yard pass and he gets a first down, we'll miss him next week and hope he gets better soon.

RG: John Fox's job Status?

MM: I don't think he's going to be gone, inside the locker room we're a strong bunch and we don't have that in our minds.

RG: How have you protected the football?

MM: Get the ball out quick, trust my mechanics, and let your guys make plays for you. The running game does a ton too. Those things have done it.

    • Other things - I agree could get him fired one day. However, not drafting a tight end this year is not going to be any reason. DC couldn't really do much with how many of the tight ends most of us figured would be around day 3 went day 2. Tight ends I would have liked for us to get day three like Delp, Roush, and Raridon went in the 3rd. I think we were smart not joining that tight end Rush and instead focused on a receiver that was great value where we got him in the 3rd round.
    • He so is far from being what people claimed he was.   What he was, is we hope and pray for consistently average in year 4. That’s what he is.  We should just move on if that’s the best he can be.
    • I am gonna believe it wasn’t us if the 4th round pick price is accurate. We needed 225 points to get from 19 to their pick. 875 at 19 to 1100 at 14.  Our 2026 4th was valued at 56 points I think. A future 4th has less value. So that wasn’t close to enough.    It would have taken our third and our fourth. Comes within a point of even.    Now, moving to their spot in the second round we could have done but after Miami took Rodriguez why would we?
