Texas vs. The Nation

This game is on live now on CBS C. Theres some descent prospects out there, probably round 4-7. Just catching the last half now but some of the QB prospects are Jonathan Crompton, Tim Hiller, and Levi Brown. Just wondering if anyone has been watching it before I caught it and saw anything impressive. So far Tim Hiller hasnt looked very good.

I'm sorry. Did someone just call Jonathon Crompton a "QB Prospect?"

I have the same opinion about him, he was very irregular in the SEC having decent stats only against por teams but it seems he've had a great week...and well, he has run a pro-style offense

IMHO he will be an average back-up at best.

Regards!!

That Holiday kid did pretty well at returning kicks as well. Also saw him line up in a wishbone formation running a little. Just couldnt handle the ball when it was pitched to him in reverses or option runs. Yeah Crompton had a good long throw for a touchdown but really choked with his accuracy in some middle range throws.

I have to assume you didn't watch too much SEC football as these were two key actors.

Crompton is horrible, dreadful and for much of the season was the only reason UT lost. His season was pretty much just like Delhomme's in every regard.

Holiday is faster than fast, but his size is cause for major concern, as he is tiny and may could not take the wear and tear. FYI he actually qualified for the World Championships in the 100.

I live in Big Ten country so not too much, but Im not saying Crompton looked good, just his one deep throw is right on it.

Trindon Holliday isnt much shorter than Maurice Jones drew, but yeah he may have some durability concerns. Im just saying if hes there in a later round what do we have to lose, hes got great speed and return ability. Worth a look just for the returner aspect.

    • I mean, no I’m not going to panic when he got 2 Qs and looked great in 1 and looked not great in another (let’s not mention the drop).    Yeah we finally have a team that would be considered average offensively around him. Let’s roll this season.
    • The woe is me everything but Bryce sucks mantra is stale af my friend. Look nobody here is going to argue with the fact Frank Reich was not a good head coach. At the same time. Bryce Young is now in his second season with his second coaching staff and a handpicked young offensive head coach who has been known for working with QB's such as Baker and Geno. As far as the offensive pieces around Bryce we have the 4th highest salary cap allocation (that might be even higher now after the new Moton deal) dedicated to the OL in the entire league. We have 2 first round WR's one of them 8th overall the first time we've ever selected a WR that high in franchise history. And the fact of the matter is Bryce Young did not have a good preseason. It's not the first time it's happened either. We all hope to see he and the rest of the team flip a switch in week 1. But we should all be able to agree that the offensive performances we've seen from the entire QB room (Bryce included) in preseason was simply unacceptable.
    • We have seen Bryce play… what… 9 games with AT BEST what one would consider NFL average WRs? You just can’t see the forest for the trees and keep going back to your lazy take of revisionist history.    he looked AWFUL Y1 with the worst coaching I’ve ever seen in the NFL and one of the weakest WR rooms I can recall. He looked awful first half of y2 and great second half of y2 with average coaching and average skill position. I don’t know where this elite talent argument even comes from.
