(Associated Press) The Carolina Panthers have picked Mississippi defensive end Greg Hardy in the sixth round of the NFL draft.p/Hardy is a 6-foot-4, 280-pound end who had five sacks despite playing just nine games last year while battling foot and wrist injuries. He was the 175th overall pick and helps a defensive line that lost Julius Peppers to free agency.
