If I hear one more rip

breaking up an o-line that allowed its running backs to go for 2300 yds is just plain dumb

Most of the big runs were credited to the right side mainly Otah and Vincent,

letting your all-pro defensive lineman go on a defense that already has trouble consistanly getting to the QB with a suspect secondary to boot is plain idiotic!

seriously??? All-Pro...

All-Pro players don't become invisible on 2-3 game stretches.

The sack argument is a weak one. Don't believe me? Go back and see how many of his sacks came against Oakland and Detroit

Jared Allen, the guy everyone wishes Peppers was had 7 games without a sack. Peppers had 6. Abraham had 6. Mario Williams had 9. Freeney had 7. Tuck had 8. Peppers had 2 of the 13 sacks New Orleans gave up all year. I've never seen a player with more outrageous expectations from fans than Peppers.

5 of Peppers sacks came against Oakland and Detroit

6 of Abrahams sacks came against Oakland and Detroit

6 of D. Ware sacks came against equally bad St. Louis and Seattle

Again I ask who is elite?

Funny how the sack argument is weak now, but it was the holy Koran to you Peppers haters all of last year, funny now that the shoes on the other foot.

Like it or not sack or no sack Peppers is one of the best at his position in the entire league, their is noone you can replace him with and get the same production and not pay a boatload of money for.

Check out all the other top DEs in the league and what their contracts are or will be when it's time to extend.

Peppers would only be the highest payed DE because he is the latest one to resign, which is why Jared Allen is the highest payed now, I'm sure when Demarcus Ware's contract comes up he will then be the Highest payed.

I will continue 2 run my mouth on this subject until it ends. Julius Peppers 2 me IS THE CAROLINA PANTHER DEFENSE! I really can't believe that I see " Peppers haters" here because I'm starting 2 like this place , but I swear everytime I see Pepper haters and threads KILLS ME! Are we looking at the same player ? #90??

O.k, o.k..imagine this..imagine playin' against that big MF next year...Julius Peppers is the STEVE SMITH of the defense, teams scheme on him every game, his first few years..they didn't, and if you're comparing his NOW performance 2 then , there lies the problem. For the one's that say he takes games off...WATCH HIM...pull your old games..any of em' and WATCH #90when we're on defense each down!!Y'all must not have ever played organized football if U don't think this man is THE BEST DEFENSIVE END IN THE NFL.!!!

..he doesn't have the best selling Panther jersey for no reason!

If this team doesn't resign Julius Peppers..and Jake starts next year...."it's gone be smoke in da city!!!"

    • I tend to look at all of these guys and wonder how committed they are to doing special teams? It's a big deal when you're fighting for roster spots. And we need massive refreshes to all phases of the special teams game. And the idea that four or five of these players could see rotational use outside of special teams would be a win. This team has accumulated quite a bit of dead wood over the last five years and its time to take an axe to some of it. These new fellows have a shot to benefit from that if they can really push. That being said, wow that receivers room is crowded right now. I'm not sure if I was a vet player with more than 2 years experience other than Adam Thielen if I'd be too sure of my future here. Tet is guaranteed a spot, Coker earned his for sure and they aren't done with XL developing yet. That's only two to three spots left for the entire room. It's going to be very competitive and better for Bryce's future, too. Safety and linebacker are the opportunity spots here this season. There's room for the right guy and we may see a starter eventually from one of these UDFAs, either by merit or injury.
    • Aho and Jarvis just gripping it too tight right now. Relax, play their 200 ft game and the shots will start to find the net. Freddie has been excellent and welcome back Mista Svechnikov. Burns.....well, thank goodness for Slavin.
    • Supposedly he plans on staying in college for all 4 years.
