Raleigh Living

I haven't lived there in 10 years, but still go there often for family and friends. In general, I'd say avoid NCSU area (overpriced and run down due to the students) and avoid the east side. Other than that, you can find a decent place most anywhere else.

hmmm my take is waay different, most need to update their takes on various locations. raleigh/durham/rtp has gone threw big changes over the last ten years.

parts of durham has had "richer" makeover. yes, take a wrong turn/walk one block you're in thee @sshole of NC. similar to a mini new york, with plenty of jersey people. some new condos run about 400 grrr+.

raleigh is ALLSOME for single males. many 8s and 9s to choose form, the kicker is male only need to be a 6(w/some game) and you will put out of your league tail. brier creek grew like a weed.

cary is full of people that are full of themselves. mix with a oversea indian favor and of course northerner. most dont like anything "non-white", espesially mexicans. live on angier av and you will too.

plus for the record NC has been 50% yank for some time, unless its in the mountains.

like many things it depends on you and want you need/want. i'd need far more details before i'd say; stay in morrisville, apex, hillsborough, jordan lake, brier creek, bufflao lake etc.

you could get lucky for 800$.

My job is putting me in Raleigh soon, and will be looking to move into an apartment. What part of Raleigh is nice and what parts do I need to look out for? If you feel like listing any nice/decently prices apartments that are reputable, feel free to.

Thanks

a friend of mine lives right near Crabtree Valley Mall/Glenwood Ave, right near I-440.. around $800/month for 2 BR 2 BA...

you are at the most 10 minutes from Glenwood South (bars, nice restaurants, clubs)... 10 minutes north is Brier creek / I-540.. a lot of nice restaurants, etc up that way.. no more than a 10 minute drive in any direction for anything you could want...

I grew up in Garner, but aren't aware of many apartments you'll want to stay at.. if you're looking for a house, there are plenty of nice places to raise a family, but that's really for the people saying garner sucks...

Clayton... yeah, there isn't poo in Clayton.. Walmart within the past 5 years? sorry, SLJ.. lol

There is plenty to do in Raleigh.. I love it. The area above is a great location.. Cary has some good apartment complexes right near I-40/US-1(I-440).. but not sure how much they go for.. I have friends in both complexes I'm thinking of (2 exits apart) that could clue me in if needed...

any questions, and want to find out what Raleigh is really like, PM me..

    • I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.
    • Where do we get our T-shirts and hats? Pretty sure this is the first championship ever in professional basketball or football in Charlotte!
    • Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
