Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Next week I'll be moving to the Raleigh/Durham area of NC (from Philadelphia) and I was hoping some of you Panther bretheren can offer some guidance as to where some of the best sports bars/spots to go catch a game might be at in either town. Any other information, tips, or direction for getting acclamated to the area will be greatfully accepted as well. Thanks! :sifone:

There are a few here from Raleigh. Panthro and I went to NCSU. Not sure about any good bars cuz place has changed so much since I've been there on a regular basis. My sister and brother still live there. I liked living there.

God I wish you could take me back home....I am from RDU and live in Lehigh Valley....I wanna go home!! There will plenty of cool places to check out in the Triangle but it depends on whether you want to be in Raleigh - Durham - Chapel Hill for sports bars.

BTW, welcome!

  • 2 weeks later...

New guy here reppin' Raleigh. My first year back in NC after a couple years away for grad school.

I know we have fans in the area but where do they watch the games? I watched a couple away games at Carolina Ale House, overall good atmosphere but I did spend a buttload on the big HD tv for a reason and usually stay home for away and make the trip for the home games.

    • Another thread where the Huddle melts down over a Bryce comment.  "Conversations" and "Bryce Young has been signed to a new long-term contract" are still far away from being the gospel.  For a fanbase that has watched two top-3 drafted QBs come here, and us move on, only to see them elevate their play elsewhere, I find it comical. Bryce is flawed but this org is damned if you do and damned if you don't with BY9.  Why would our GM and HC say anything other than supportive about their QB1. Yes, he's extended, but I truly do not think if he goes out and has a repeat of the previous seasons, that he is here beyond 2027. They're giving him every opportunity and surrounding him with a ridiculous amount of assets on both sides of the ball. If he continues to pitch 110 yd/ game and cough up the ball while everyone else is busting their ass, no way Dan keeps him beyond the extension.
    • Ooof, I was not a Proctor fan. I agree w/ a lot of smarter folks than me that he's more of a guard and think his weight fluctuation is going to be something to navigate. I liked Lomu a lot, but figured there would be more talented guys there at 19. I also wasn't big on bringing in a TE via the draft. If it's not a vet (Njoku) or a trade for Mayer or Kmet, I'd just as soon see what the youngsters have. No need cluttering the room with more of the same.
    • Sam Darnold & Bryce Young are two very different Qbs ..just saying the last 25 years approximately 2/3 of ALL  first round Qb's  in the NFL were or are bust.so for everyone who makes it like a Sam Darnold you have two that don't make it or are a bust
