First the good news. Florida lost to washingon 3-0. So we are still in 8th place. Buffalo lost to Ottawa. More good news. Now the bad. Pittsburgh one putting them at 84 points. Tied with Phili for the 4th spot. Montreal lost and there falling fast but they gained a point because the rangers could not finish them off in overtime. So right now from 8th place where we stand at 79 to 4th place where phili stands at 84 is 5 points. Every canes fan needs to pull for there team because we need to win and put ourselves up there around 4th and not trying to scrach and claw our way to the 8th spot. Finally Brodeur got the record hopefully he sits out tommorows game and we can get the win at home. MUST WIN! Go Canes!

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
