Had ours for 2 months now and love it just as much as Day 1 - very underrated phone. Good to know about the battery too. We thought about picking it up but weren't sure of the difference, but if it lasts that long with all of the goodies turned on that's a really big improvement. Would've been nice for that battery to be the stock one in the first place, but that's a different discussion :D

Well, there's two caveats to the extended battery... the normal price is $52... I got mine for $29... the other is that it's huge. It nearly doubles the thickness of the phone... but it doesn't bother me.

Pretty sure they're still on sale...

Doesn't seem like the battery is the issue everyone makes it out to be (either that or I got a good handset), going on 7 hours now with moderate use (about 45 mins or so of calls, a bunch of texts, some email and downloading a few aps) and I'm at 75% still. This is using the LTE radio and not CDMA and with wifi on. If the battery is actually going to get better then this after a few charges like all the forums say it will, then I can't imagine having any issues. Absolutely love everything about the phone. The screen is gorgeous, and the google ripoff of Siri actually works surprisingly well. Voice to text has been flawless so far, which is something I couldn't say about my original Moto Droid. If you're on the fence about getting the Galaxy, don't be, it's an excellent phone and is well worth the price....

streaming Pandora on the LTE network trying to kill this damn thing so I can start the second charge cycle....at 11h and 15 mins (Pandora has been running for about an hour now, and I'm still at 40%....watched some espn3, and fpsrussia vids on youtube (the screen is a thing of beauty). Still trying to get all my apps set up how I want, but I've gotta say I'm more than impressed with the speed, layout, tech, battery life....just everything that this phone has....

Thought I would post some screenshots from the battery to ease anyone's concerns about this thing draining too much power...

Those were taken about 15 minutes ago, screen on time is just under two hours. Also, I'm going on 3.5 hours of Pandora streaming now (which I will probably only do the rest of this week in order to kill the battery to start a new charge cycle), so that has drained the battery quite a bit over the LTE...

This is on the stock battery btw, though I do think I'm going to get the extended battery if for nothing else, to add some weight to the phone because it feels way too light for my liking....

    • Maybe it's because I played LT until some fat fug folded my knee, but I love watching footwork drills at the combine for olinemen. I call it fat man ballet. Base and balance are everything when it come to being a lineman. Everything starts there. Sure there's lateral movement, hip flex, bend, hand fighting, strength, push, etc, but without a strong base and good balance, the rest aren't happening. Those drills are specifically designed to show you things and they stand out big time if you're watching their feet and ankles. You can tell what doesn't feel like a natural movement. I remember watching Greg Little and I was blown away at how bad his footwork was. Like unbelievably bad. To the point I thought maybe he had never practiced one of these drills before. I remember when we drafted him, I thought to myself well fug, there's a wasted pick.  Aside from the added weight, I wonder if that's part of why Bryce didn't throw. Standing next to all the other QBs, that footwork and mechanics would stand out like a sore thumb, much more so than at a pro day. Bryce is good at some things, improvising and eluding and he does appear to have that clutch gene, but his throws get ugly when he tries to arm it instead of having that solid stead base to throw from.
    • He could be 6-9 and he would still suck with the issues he has.
