Pujols / Marlins ?!?!?

You don't know much......Nolasco and Annibal Sanchez are quality starters. JJ is healthy. And you really think Buehrle or Wilson wont wanna play here with that lineup? Please!

Oh and "Hanley sucks" is laughable.

It depends on JJ being healthy. When healthy he's a top 5 starter no doubt. He may be now, but can he stay that way?

Buehrle or Wilson may want to play there but the Marlins are spending an awful lot of money. If they get Pujols AND Wilson/Buehrle, I'll give them some respect. That's a LOT of money though. Last I heard the Angels were the frontrunners for Wilson.

And Hanley is a lazy headcase that had a VERY mediocre year. Can he turn it around? Probably, he was arguably the best player in the MLB for a while.. but that's yet to be seen. I'll believe it when I see it. It's the same case for Werth. He sucked last year but was a good player(not on Hanley's level though). I bet you have no problem saying he's terrible.

I'm just sick of hearing all this hype about the Marlins when they've signed an injury prone SS in Reyes and like the 3rd best closer at best in the NL east.

By the way I've got nothing against the Marlins. I mean I do hate them as a Nats fan because they dominate the Nationals both in Florida and in Nats park lolz, but that's besides the point.

I hate the hype they're getting the same way I hated the hype the Red Sox, the Heat, and the Eagles received before they even played a game.

I think even if they get Pujols the Braves and Phillies finish #1/#2. If the Marlins get Pujols and the Nationals get either Buehrle or Wilson, I think they will be neck and neck for #3 in the division.

EDIT - by the way, Hanley has reportedly said he does NOT want to move to third and is asking to either stay at SS or be traded.

The Marlins are such an irritating organization. The fans are being rewarded for basically never supporting the team. There was always like 1,000 people at every game. Even good games. And they get rewarded for that. Now they are going to try to act like they have been fans forever and talk crap about how awesome their team is. Just like the freaking Heat.

eh, I was a Marlins season ticket holder from 2005-2009. then I moved up here to Charlotte for work. Spent a lot of rainy, weeknights in that god-awful football stadium. I deserve a new stadium/team. Some don't.

Plus the way they got the stadium is about as shady as it gets.

    • Lol. The Texans are literally one of Bryce's six career NFL wins. WTF are you talking about?
    • Yeah, I mean it is a statistical fact and also part of literally a player evaluation. Winston has literally lost dozens of games in his NFL career due to crippling TO's. It's just who he is. Look, it's fun when those insane throws work and he is leading you back from some crazy deficit. But those success are rare. It's why his career GWD count is so low. He's fun but he is fundamentally built to lose games.  If you are talking about a backup QB, you are literally already losing in the first place. That's how you see a backup QB and that's overwhelmingly what they tend to do. Rookie QB's almost always benefit from veteran QB's. Same as literally any other position in the NFL. Why do you think that you so often hear that from the playera themselves? As for Bryce NEEDING one, no he sure as poo shouldn't this late in the game. But he also shouldn't have needed this fuging long to get his fuging footwork straightened out either. Yet here we are.
    • Comfortability is the primary reason. They don't want to hurt Bryce's confidence. But I say if his confidence is that fragile that healthy competition which makes everyone better is enough for them to keep making Andy Dalton rich then Bryce was never going to be the guy anyway. Give me the QB who sees the competition amongst his peers and uses it to take it to the next level. Instead we get the guy who comes out looking like a deer in the headlights against the Texans after we've done everything possible to appease him. Definition of complacency.
